FIVE SKYHAWKS NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS Four sophomores and one freshman were named NJCAA Academic All-Americans for 2015-16. All four sophomores were given the Exemplary Award for achieving at least a 3.6 GPA overall for their two years of academic success: Rebecca Arnolts (Cross Country), Alexander Knack (Tennis), and Derek Kennell and Julio Sepulveda (). This year, with a recent rule change by the NJCAA, freshmen can also achieve Academic All-American honors for their single year of work in the classroom. Skyhawk freshman, Elliot Frankfother (Tennis), received the Exemplary Award for achieving over a 3.6 GPA for his first year at SVCC. Congratulations to all five Skyhawk athletes for their outstanding performances in both the classroom and the field of play. In addition to the five All-Americans, 16 Skyhawks were named to the Arrowhead Academic All-Conference team: Molly Johnson and Taylor Wagler (Softball), Rebecca Arnolts and Marisela Herrera (Women’s Cross Country), Chelsi Blair and Kayci Howell (Volleyball), Brooke Williams (Volleyball/Women’s Basketball), Quincy Coomes, Peter DeLaFuente, Tanner Mortonson, and Dakota Trancoso (Men’s Cross Country), Garrett Duffin and A.J. Sharp (Men’s Basketball), Derek Kennell (Baseball), and Elliott Frankfother and Alexander Knack (Men’s Tennis). The Bob Bopp Award for Outstanding Female Student-Athlete went to Rebecca Arnolts and the Bob Bopp Award for Outstanding Male Student-Athlete went to A.J. Sharp.

SKYHAWKS NAMED ALL-AMERICANS SVCC BOOSTER CLUB FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING PLAY MEMBERSHIP DRIVE 2016-17 First, after an outstanding Volleyball season that saw the Skyhawks NAME win the Arrowhead Conference and make their second straight trip ADDRESS to the NJCAA Nationals, Tressa Schuler was named Second Team All-American for her outstanding play.
