The Canucks and their ever so rotating line up, up and down their roster. The new 2020-21 season gears up to be another dandy so let’s sit back have a read and see how we feel about the new lineup. Having come to the rescue as rookie of the year runner up on the back-end, does he ever change the diversity to this team. Really the most effective defenseman since Ed “Jovo-Cop” Jovanoski dawned the Canucks jersey with his flashy ways of getting up and down the ice. Despite what he gives up in size to the average NHL defenseman, the average height of six foot-two inches, a good three inches he falls the lesser, he makes up for in skill and as I like to say “jam”. The boys in blue in this upcoming year should be very telling as the Canucks are one year older and one year wiser. The versatile potting 18 goals last year in a diminished role for a good chunk of the year adds some much-needed grit to the lineup not to mention his off-ice contributions are award worthy. If he can man up and get 20+ goals, attached to Boeser with his 30 odd goals and Pettersson’s brilliance should make for an exciting on ice product. Between the pipes lies the answer, a young unproven in and the decorated Braeden Holtby with his cup winning mentality. Can they find the perfect balance of new vs old or was last seasons success based solely off their Vezina candidate’s fortunes between the pipes. No matter what skill level the Nuckle-heads put on the ice, it will need to be matched by their will in order to have a fighting chance and even outside chance for a playoff slot and at Lord Stanley.
