E-NEWS LETTER MSME DATA BANK REGISTRATION GUIDELINES FOR ASSOCIATION Associations have to complete registration process by filling up a form which is available at www.msmedatabank.in and click on Register > Association. The guidelines for filling the form by Association are hereunder: Association Name - The applicant has to provide registered name of Association. Registration No. - The applicant has to provide Association's registration number (Society, etc.) PAN No. - The applicant has to provide PAN No. of the Association Year of establishment - The applicant has to provide year when the Association was established Level of Reach - The applicant has to provide here the Geographical reach of the Association Email - The applicant has to provide the email address on which registration details and further communication will be sent Website - The applicant can provide here address of official website of the Association Name of parent organization - The applicant has to provide the name of parent organization (if applicable) of which the Association is part No. of medium unit - The applicant has to provide total number of medium category units registered with the Association as on date No. of small unit - The applicant has to provide total number of small category units registered with the Association as on date No. of micro unit - The applicant has to provide total number of micro category units registered with the Association as on date No. of large unit - The applicant has to provide total number of large category units registered with the Association as on date No. of SC unit - The applicant has to provide total number of SC units registered with the Association No. of ST unit - The applicant has to provide total number of ST category units registered with the Association as on date No. of woman unit - The applicant has to provide total number of woman category units registered with the Association as on date Contact person name - The applicant has to provide here the contact person's name Contact person Designation - The applicant has to provide here the contact person's designation Contact person Email - The applicant has to provide here the contact person's Email address Contact person Mobile Number - The applicant has to provide here the contact person's mobile number. The Association will be able to login to the www.msmedatabank.in and add details about MSME(s) registered with it by clicking Add MSME(s) in the administration dashboard. The information which is not readily available with the association can be updated later by the MSME using their individual login / password which will be sent to them after registration is completed by Association. E-NEWSLETTER Award for enterprises Development and Promotion of Brand MSME Tiruvallur District An award for enterprise development and promotion of brand MSME was organized by MSME- DI, Chennai at Tiruvallur District on 08 Jan 2020 under National Award Scheme about Essay and Art Competition on ‘Role of MSMEs in Development of Indian Economy’ and ‘Traditions of Tamilnadu’ respectively. The competition was coordinated by Shri. Kiran Dev Satuluri, Asstt. Director. There were 370 students participated in the competition. Salem District An award for enterprise development and promotion of brand MSME was organized by Brand MSME-DI, Coimbatore at Salem District from 20 Jan 2020 to 21 Jan 2020 for the classes from IX to XII. Total 142 students attended contest and 03 from each category of Essay competition and art competition has been finalized for winners. The contest was organized by Shri AP Prabhu, Assistant Director. E-NEWSLETTER INDUSTRIAl MoTIvATIOnAl CAMPAIGn (IMC) foR Unemployed Youth Tiruvallur District In Tiruvallur District, the Industrial Motivation Campaign-(Youth) was organized for the benefit of educated youth on 29.01.2020 and 30.01.2020. The campaign was organized by Shri. M.V. Leelakrishnan, Assistant Director and Dr. K.L.S. Reddy, Assistant Director. 110 Students and 05 aspiring entrepreneurs were attended. Erode District Two days Industrial Motivation Campaign youth was held at Erode in association with Dalit Chamber of Commerce and Industry at hotel Merina, Erode, Erode District on 20.01.2020 & 21.01.2020 conducted by Brand MSME DI, Coimbatore and coordinated by Shri. E-NEWSLETTER ONE DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON GST FOR MSME Ranipet District On 22.01.2020, One day Awareness Programme on GST for MSMEs in the area of Engineering and Leather Industries was conducted by MSME-DI, Chennai in association with HB Management Engineering Consultancy Limited, Chennai at Ranipet. The programme was coordinated by Shri. A. Ravi Kumar, Investigator and Shri. N.Srinivasalu, Assistant Director. 92 Participants from Engineering and Leather Industrialists for Micro/Small Industries of Ranipet District attended and get benefitted from this programme. Shri. G.     Arcot is a town and urban area of Ranipet district in the state of Tamil Nadu , India. Located on the southern banks of Palar River , the city straddles a trade route between Chennai and Bangalore or Salem , between the Mysore Ghat and the Javadi Hills (Javvadhu malai). As of 2011, the city had a population 55,955. The sweet makkan peda is a local speciality while Arcot biryani , a rice-based traditional food, is also served here. Arcot Mudaliars and Muslims are the dominant communities followed by Naidus and Vanniyars in Arcot town. Etymology Its name is commonly believed to have been derived from the Tamil words aaru (River) + kaadu (forest). However, arkaadu meant 'a forest of fig trees'. Jainism was flourishing in this part of Tamil Land who were otherwise known as Arugar most probably corrupted form of Arhants or the perfected souls. The word Arugar is found in many ancient literary works and places dominant with Arugars were related to them viz Arakonam, Arumbakkam, Aruvur, etc. Not far away from present day Arcot (Anglicized form of Aarkaadu) there is a place called Arungundram. Hence Arcot or Aarkaadu would have derived its name from Arugarkaadu. History The town's strategic location has led to it being repeatedly contested and prompted the construction of a formidable fortress. The Nawabdom of the Carnatic was established by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb , who in 1692 appointed Zulfiqar Ali Khan as the first Nawab of the Carnatic . In 1740, the Maratha forces came down upon Arcot. They attacked the Nawab, Dost Ali in the pass of Damalcherry.
