Humanity Road – Italy Activation: Magnitude 6.2 Earthquake Italy, Sitrep 3 Publication Date: August 27, 2016, 02:00

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Central Italy on August 24, 2016 causing serious damage in the central regions of Lazio, Umbria, and Marche. Humanity Road activated its Digital Disaster Response Team on August 24 to monitor social media and amplify official messages in social media for those impacted by the earthquake. Humanity Road provides this information as a public service to people impacted and to those first responders providing aid.

Regione Umbria (Umbria Region): ​ ​ ● 26 Aug: Sono state 719 le persone che, nei centri umbri colpiti dal sisma, sono state assistite la notte scorsa nelle aree di accoglienza approntate dal sistema regionale di protezione civile dell'Umbria che ha messo a disposizione complessivamente 916 posti letto. L'affluenza maggiore nelle zone di Norcia (371 persone complessive, comprese le varie frazioni). Cerreto di Spoleto 45 e Monteleone di Spoleto 17. Anche Sant'Anatolia di Narco, presso la palestra del capoluogo, ospita 20 persone. Ventisei le aree di ricovero.
