MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING The minutes of the meeting held on the 1st May 2009, having been circulated, it was resolved that they should be signed as a true and correct record. 307. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES a) Children’s Play Area – The Safety Inspection had been carried out by ROSPA and the comments were considered remembering that the inspection had occurred just before the equipment was painted. It was generally agreed that the comment concerning lack of ‘Dog Ban and Ownership’ signs was incorrect. It was reported that most areas had trip hazards at the edges and the ground levels should be built up. The tops of the balance beam/stepping posts required be made non‐slip. The members were told that the missing spring toy had been located and the clerk was requested to make enquiries about a replacement spring. b) MUGA – Comments were brought to the meeting that the new surface of the MUGA was not of a very good standard; it was reported to be holding water in places and the joins were not uniform. It was agreed that the Chairman should have a look and the clerk would alert Monster that it would need inspecting before the lines were repainted. c) Skateboard Area – For a further time, nothing had been heard from the youngsters who were requiring this project. It was agreed that the clerk should write to them again because the councillors were unable to proceed without the information. 308.
