Siden seneste udsendelse er VEGA trådt ind i samarbejdet. Der er desuden et antal pending. Se samlet oversigt over medlemmer senere. Medlemsmøder og -aktiviteter Der var bestyrelsesmøde i Meetingplace den 16. december efterfulgt af ekstraordinær generalforsamling samme eftermiddag med præsentation af bestyrelsens forslag til medlemskontingent og -investering 2021. Forslaget indebar bl.a. en reduktion i det samlede bidrag for det enkelte medlem og blev enstemmigt vedtaget af medlemskredsen. Mødet blev afholdt som hybrid med den fysiske del hos CABINN Copenhagen. Kommende medlemsmøde er den 4. marts med introduktion til nyudviklet aktiveringsmodel i forbindelse med events på destinationen. I materialet indgår også grafiske elementer og andre tiltag, som alle Meetingplace-partnere frit kan gøre brug af. Der er udsendt invitation til mødet, der foregår virtuelt. Der bliver fortsat udviklet og eksekveret på aktiviteter fra den udsendte Kickstartplan for Meetingplace, der også dækker hele 2021. Planen er vedtaget af bestyrelsen og blev udsendt til medlemskredsen i maj måned 2020 samt gennemgået på generalforsamlingen. Der er udsendt et antal nyhedsmails med opdateringer på krisen, og der har desuden været afholdt et større antal individuelle, og virtuelle, sparrings- og rådgivningsmøder med medlemsvirksomheder i Meetingplace. Nyhedsbrev til Meetingplace-medlemmer Udover nyhedsmails er der siden sidste bestyrelsesmøde udsendt nyhedsbrev til medlemmerne, bl.a. med orientering om resultatskabelsen inden for Meetingplace samt seneste nyt om salg- og marketingaktiviteter. Nyhedsbrevet (og rapport/materiale) udsendes kun til Meetingplace-medlemmer. Det samme gør sig gældende for nyhedsmails. Copenhagen Legacy Lab fortsætter med at trække overskrifter I forbindelse med ICCA kongressen i november 2020 lancerede Wonderful Copenhagen ’Copenhagen Legacy Lab’-publikationen (https://www.wonderfulcopenhagen.com/cll ). Indsatsen resulterede i omfattende mediedækning som beskrevet i decembers udgave af Siden Sidst. Wonderful Copenhagen har netop været medforfattere på en artikel i Boardroom Magazine, der igen stiller skarpt på Copenhagen Legacy Lab: Copenhagen Legacy Lab: A True Partnership Across the Entire Meetings Eco-system - Boardroom Destinationer rundt om begynder også at vise interesse. Wonderful Copenhagen har holdt et kort indlæg for Innovasjon Norge og er ligeledes blevet opfordret til at holde et indlæg på kommende ECM Conference. Indsatsen er led i at sikre at Copenhagen Legacy Lab, og MeetDenmark, er ledende reference globalt, når det handler om at skabe langsigtede, positive aftryk fra internationale foreningskongresser. Den 1. februar er Annika Rømer startet som senior projektleder på Copenhagen Legacy Lab. Hun skal være med til at sikre, at Copenhagen Legacy Lab fortsætter den gode udvikling, og at implementeringen af legacy-processer øges på en række fremtidige kongresser. ICCA Healthcare Conversations Wonderful Copenhagen havde en speaker på dette års ICCA Healthcare Meetings Conversations, som eneste CVB. Webinarerne omhandlede compliance – særligt på virtual medical meetings. Med Wonderful Copenhagen var bl.a. Roche, ISTH, IPCAA, Lundbeck, Novartis, MCI m.fl: Congress2020 (iccaworld.org) Increased conversion of business opportunities Salgsaktiviteter Siden sidste bestyrelsesmøde har Wonderful Copenhagen gennemført følgende salgsaktiviteter for at repræsentere København og medlemmerne af Meetingplace på det internationale møde- og kongresområde. Salgsaktiviteterne er vurderet på en skala fra 1-10, hvor 10 er højst. IBTM World, 8.-10. december Wonderful Copenhagen deltog i den årlige IBTM World-messe, som normalt finder sted i Barcelona, men som denne gang fandt sted virtuelt. I alt havde teamet 26 møder med internationale kunder fra både mødebureauer, corporate-virksomheder og foreninger. Den virtuelle platform fungerede rigtig fint, og møderne var produktive. Otte af møderne var mere konkrete i forhold til mulige RFPs og kommende budprocesser. To konkrete M&I RFPs blev modtaget på i alt 4.200 room nights, og der blev diskuteret potentielle kommende budproces, og til dels igangværende budproces, på konferencer og kongresser på i alt 84.800 room nights, som teamet arbejder videre på. Vurdering: 9 Destination Alliance – Foreningsevent, 15. december Wonderful Copenhagen er medlem af alliancen for Internationale Convention Bureauer i UK. Alliancen afholder årligt en event i London for internationale foreninger, men grundet covid-19 blev eventen denne gang afholdt virtuelt. 25 internationale foreningskunder og PCOer deltog, og sammen med et panel af industrieksperter fra fagmedier og foreninger blev den nuværende situation diskuteret under titlen ’Content, Community, Cash – Disruption and the New Models for Content and Communities’. Deltagerantallet var lavere end forventet, da de fysiske events normalt tiltrækker ca. 40 foreningsdeltagere, men feedback fra alle var, at de fandt eventen meget brugbar med gode take aways, og 11 af deltagerne har udvist interesse for København som en kommende eventdestination. Vurdering: 9 M&I-aktiviteter – Internationale webinars M&I-teamet afholder fortsat løbende webinars og virtuelle møder med internationale mødebureauer og deres ansatte samt større webinars med grupper af mødeplanlæggere via tredjepartsarrangører. Eftersom der nu er længere udsigter til, at kundemøder kan afholdes live, så fortsætter disse aktiviteter med at være yderst vigtige for at holde København top of mind hos kunderne. I januar inkluderede de virtuelle salgsaktiviteter bl.a.: HSMAI Workshop, 7. januar Wonderful Copenhagen deltog for første gang i HSMAI-workshoppen, som er målrettet kunder fra det norske business events-marked. Normalt finder HSMAI sted i Oslo og er eksklusivt for deres hotelmedlemmer, men grundet covid-19 var eventen åbnet for andre leverandører og fandt sted virtuelt. Den virtuelle platform fungerede fint, og møderne var produktive, men desværre blev det kun til i alt fire møder. Alle møderne gav anledning til introduktion af Copenhagen CVB og de services, som kunden kan gøre brug af fremadrettet til kommende forretning som vil blive lagt i København. Der blev vist stor interesse fra kundernes side i fremtidig afholdelse af møder og events i København i muligvis Q3 eller Q4 2021, dog blev der ikke modtaget konkrete RFP’er. Fra arrangørernes side var der lagt op til en fuld mødekalender, og derfor var det meget utilfredsstillende, at det på dagen kun blev til få møder. Teamet er i dialog med arrangørerne om dette. Vurdering: 6 Destination Alliance – virtuel M&I workshop, 21. januar Wonderful Copenhagen er medlem af alliancen Destinations Alliance for Internationale convention-bureauer i UK. Alliancen afholder årligt flere live kundeevents i UK, men grundet covid-19 har disse måtte udsættes. For at kickstarte året afholdt alliancen den en virtuel workshop for 21 britiske mødeplanlæggere. De fleste af kunderne var på Director- og CEO-niveau, og hver destination havde 10 individuelle møder med mulighed for at sælge deres destination, samt mulighed for at netværke og følge op med resten af kunderne efterfølgende. Det var en god lejlighed til at synliggøre den support, som CVBer kan tilbyde mødeplanlæggere, og der var stor tilfredshed med eventen blandt medlemmerne. Vurdering: 8 Moulden Marketing – virtuel workshop, 26. januar Moulden Marketing afholder to årlige workshops, som normalt afholdes face to face i London, og flere af byens partnere har tidligere deltaget på dem. De er gået virtuel med deres koncept, og M&I-teamet deltog og havde 17 møder med britiske mødeplanlæggere. Platformen fungerede godt, og der var stor interesse for København som fremtidig destination for møder og events.
