It has been serialized online in the digital edition of Takeshobo Web Comic Gamma since 2012 and has been assembled in eight volumes of tankobon. The anime adaptation of the television series Kinema Citrus aired from July 7 to September 29, 2017. The sequel premiered in Japan on January 17, 2020. It was supposed to be released in the U.S. on April 11, 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The story tells the story of an orphaned young girl Rico, who finds and befriends a humanoid robot Reg and descends with him into the titular Abyss, which leads deep into the Earth, hoping to find his mother.
