A Stranger locating in Boston recently was obliged to wait over a day or two for the arrival of his mail and while visiting Keith’s Theatre and looking over the Program advertisements selected a Banking Institution to do business with. On calling at the bank next day he was asked for references and if recommended by any particular person as to opening his deposit at the bank. His reply was that “he knew no one in the city but while at Keith’s Theatre the previous afternoon noticed the advertisement of the Bank in the Program.” This is one of the many opportunities advertisers have of calling strangers’ attention to their advertisements while visiting the city. ,

No inducements are offered to secure advertising pat- ronage. The B. F. Keith audiences are composed of the very best people in the country. Strangers when visiting the Theatre take the Program with them as souvenirs and our Mailing Department is constantly sending them to all parts of the globe; another important point is that no placing of advertisements in the margin is allowed, from one to four advertisements on the left hand pages and two advertisements on the program pages, thus giving each announcement sufficient space to make it attractive and pleasing to read. The uniform style of type selected for display throughout the Program and the general make up are important features for profitable advertising. "The Sweetest Toned Piano in the World**

The legend of Neptune’s garden is that at the sound of the human voice one of the many beautiful statues it contains will come to life and at once seek the water from which all Neptune’s people are supposed to have come. Mortals who break the silence are doomed to death. Don Martinez has found the charm of the Nereids which is said to have the power of restoring the statues to marble after they have been awaken- ed. He visits the garden with Beryl, and while they are danc- ing, Rodo, an interloper, who has also discovered the existence of the charm, attempts to steal it. Martinez seizes him, they struggle, and Rodo falls into the pool, screaming. He takes the charm with him. At the sound of his voice a statue awakens and seeks the depths of the pool. Martinez, distract- ed, waits for Rodo to appear above the surface of the water, and finally is taken away by Beryl convinced that he has drowned the interloper. Becoming demented by thinking of the murder, he escapes from his attendants and again comes to the garden followed by Beryl, who uses every means of keeping him from the pool, and finally at the sound of a weird danse they are carried away with it. The Spirit of Amphitrite ap- pears, the dancers stop, the Spirit fascinates them. Under her direction Martinez places steps in the pool. She holds her trident over the water, and in a moment Rodo appears from the bottom of the pool. Again the Spirit extends the trident, and one after another the Nereids arise from the water. Produced under the personal direction of the author, assisted by G. Molasso, director of pantomime Josef Castilian, directing living art studies Sam Mahoney, aquatic director Bart E.
