ABOUT YOUR JUDGES The non-showing members of this committee choose the judges for our shows thereby allowing those who do show the chance to exhibit their dogs.

Rachel Leeson I've been showing dogs since 1982, my first one was a WFT and yes I was sold a pup, by someone who was disreputable. However, I learnt a lot. I had my first Australian Terrier in 1984, who went on to be top puppy that year. Since then, apart for a short period of time, they have been a constant presence in my life. I've also owned and shown Manchester Terriers, from Keyline, Manterr and Tyburn. My affix is Amberush, which I reinstated when I bred my most recent litter, (after 23 years). I have handled, prepared and had some of the Millvalley Aussies living in my home during the last nine years. I'm also Secretary of & District Gundog & Terrier Club, and Show Manager for the Australian Terrier Club of Great Britain. My friends would tell you, I'm always on the go, and usually smiling too.

Collette Perkins I became addicted to dog showing as a young child, handling my mothers Basenji’s. I fell in love with about 25 years ago and have owned them ever since. We bought in our first dog and made him up into a champion. We then enjoyed further success with our home bred bitches under the Moonjade and Silkridge affix. I have had success in several other breeds, including Hungarian , Welsh Springer and more recently Pointers, having just made up our first Show Champion under the Brent affix. Having watched most breeds evolve over the past years, I enjoy having the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience within the ring. Barry Denyer I have owned various breeds of dog since 1983 and only really started showing, under the affix of Batrapyr, in 1999. Nowadays I am mainly associated with Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, of which we currently have 3. We also have a Pyrenean Sheepdog and an elderly cross-breed, none of them are now shown. My judging career started in 2004 and I am now on the A3 List for PMDs, B List for Pyrenean Sheepdogs, Hungarian Pulis and Briards. I have judged, at Open Show level, from Barrow to Dover and most major venues in between. When not judging I enjoy stewarding and maintaining web sites for the PMDC of GB and Luton CA. I am most grateful to the Committee of Pwllheli for the opportunity to judge some wonderful breeds and hope that the new venue will be a resounding success. Roger Perkins I have been showing and judging dogs for over 25 years. The first breed I started showing was Welsh Springer Spaniels shown under the Brent affix which I have had success at all levels. During this period I have owned and showed Hungarian Vizslas, Whippets and recently made up our first Pointer Show Champion. Karen Maskell I have been involved with dogs and showing nearly all my life, firstly with a Border Collie and then Miniature , 30 years ago the first Papillon came into my life and I was hooked, the first few years were spent breeding in my mothers Jadedoren affix and then in 1995 I started the Kazkell affix. I am approved to award CC in Papillons and am on the B list and C list of other toys I have judged both the Toy and Utility groups and all the varieties at open level, I very much look forward to judging this show and look forward to seeing you all on the day Barbara Stamp (Tynsil) I bought my first in 1986 and my first GWP in 1990. I have won a CC and 2 RCCs with my first homebred Weimaraner and also owned a bitch with a RCC and several others in the stud book. In GWP’s I have won a RCC with my first bitch and she produced the first solid liver bitch champion in the country. I have bred a further 2 show champion bitches, one of which is the top winning solid liver in the breed . There are also several others that have won CC’s or RCC’s. On the judging front, my first appointment was in 1989 and was passed for CC’s in in 2002 followed by GWP’s in 2004 and GSP’s in 2009. I am also on the A3 list for 3 other HPR breeds. I had my first BIS appointment in 2011 and have just completed a judging appointment in Australia for GSP’s.

Exhibits will not be admitted to Best in show competition after a period of ten minutes has elapsed since the announcement that exhibits are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judging not being completed on time, and then only with the special permission of the show management. 14. No modifications will be made to this schedule except by permission of the General Committee of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible. 15. All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F (Annex B) Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs for exhibition. The Show will be held under Kennel Club Rules and Show Regulations. 16. All dogs resident outside the U.K. must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete Number before entry to the show can be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor. 17. Dogs in Cars on Hot Days Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events. • When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams. • If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all. • The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink. • Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog. • When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. • Keep the dog in the shade – take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated. • Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. Right to Refuse Entries. Exhibitors/Competitors are reminded that show societies have the right under Kennel Club Regulation to refuse any entry. 18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered. 19. The Committee of this show cannot be held responsible for products advertised or sold by standholders at the show, and remind exhibitors that such products may not meet the requirements of the Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition. 20. Parents/Guardians please note, well behaved children are welcome but those in charge of children will be held fully responsible for their actions and any damage caused within the environs of the show. 21. Remedial action will be taken if dogs which are left in cars are found to be in a distressed condition. 22. Owners, handlers, exhibitors or any other person in charge of a dog at a Kennel Club licenced event must ensure at all times that the dog is kept under proper control whilst at the licenced venue including its environs, car parks and approaches. 23. Soft Crates: The Kennel Club has drawn attention to the potential health and safety implications concerning the use of soft crates at shows as in its view, they do not offer sufficient protection to dogs. Soft crates left unattended at the ringside are a potential hazard particularly when occupied by large breeds, and it has been known for dogs to become distressed and move soft crates along the floor and also escape. Soft crates should only be used when there is sufficient room available and when they can be safely secured. 24. Each exhibitor is responsible for providing their own crate or cage identification and should note that the original exhibit/bench number card, as provided by the show society, must not be used for this purpose.

Dog Fouling F8 (a) Any owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s) at any Kennel Club licensed show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event including the car and caravan parks and approaches. The Society will arrange for the dispersal of suitable receptacles to assist compliance with regulation F8(a). Attraction of Exhibits F(1) 17f The attracting of exhibits by any method from outside the ring is prohibited. It is the duty of the judge steward or show management noticing such attraction to ask that it ceases. REGULATIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF DOGS FOR EXHIBITION F (B)

Any examination thus ordered will be made by a person having executive authority who shall have a written directive from the Kennel Club in their possession. Samples may be taken for further examination and analysis. 5.
