Date of review: Thursday 13th December, 2007 Director: Jason Reitman Duration: 91 minutes Classification: M We rate it: 4 and a half stars. Jason Reitman, son of ultra-mainstream (and very successful) Hollywood director Ivan Reitman (he of Ghostbusters, Stripes and Kindergarten Cop fame) may just be able to move out from under his father’s significant shadow with this wonderful film. Jason Reitman’s breakthrough film as a director was 2005’s Thank You for Smoking, a cleverly written and very well performed black comedy that was so well pulled-off that one felt in the presence of promising new talent. It seems that feeling was correct, because with Juno, a very different film to its predecessor, Reitman has made an utterly assured and charming comedy/drama, and has drawn tremendously convincing and engaging performances from the entire cast. The talented young actress Ellen Page (who was so memorable in the confronting thriller Hard Candy) plays the titular character, an intelligent, articulate, out-of-left- field high-school student who, as our story opens, finds herself pregnant to her close friend and would-be boyfriend, Bleeker. Being smart, strong and self-possessed, Juno confronts her situation level-headedly, and decides, on reflection, that she will go through with the pregnancy and offer her child for adoption to a couple who are unable to conceive. CRA/Developer – update a. Liz Keel of the Maumee Valley Planning Organization convened the meeting at 3:05 p.m. Liz began the meeting with an update within the CRA areas. Jerry Hayes, Defiance County Economic Development, has shown several lots within the CRA areas for development of a market rate apartment complex of approximately 30 units. The developer would like to locate in an opportunity zone, and is interested in the Hammersmith, Northtowne Mall, and Maumee River Crossing areas. The developer plans to return to visit these sites. b. Rita Kissner provided an overview of the recently held Small Business Symposium. Rita reported that the symposium was well-attended, and that Jerry explained the CRA areas and their benefits during his presentation. The City is still in the process of completing the new CRA brochure. 2. Rent Smart – update Angie Franklin, NOCAC, gave an update on the Rent Smart program. • The third session of Tenant Classes is scheduled for 09/28, 09/29, & 09/30 - 6pm -8pm at the Dream Center. Enrollment goal is 10 participants. • Other sessions were completed in March and June of 2020 o A total of 20 participants enrolled o 9 participants completed all sessions and received the Rent Smart Certificate.

Someone can find the meaning of life when he thinks that he manages to actualize his idealism. By actualizing his idealism, man can find his identity. In the scope of the society, then his existence will be built. The existence of a man can be seen from two sides. From the outside view, a man appears to be just another natural creature while from the inside view, he is an entirely independent universe, the center of his own infinity. Man is equal, but every human has his own worldexistentially, which differ him from other individual. This only understandable in the term of individual’s existence, his particular experience of life. Thus, to understand a man, somebody cannot merely appreciate him from his physical appearance. In etymology concept the word "existence" comes from the Latin word existere means "to appear", "to arise", "to become", or "to be", but literally, it means "to stand out". Everyone has their own existence, the existence is as the sigh of his purpose, the purpose is what he wants to become.
