Error! Bookmark not defined. 2 OVERVIEW The Student Handbook is prepared by the Office of Student Development to assist students in the orientation process of Emmanuel College (The College, EC). It also contains policies, procedures, and important information about the many services, personnel, and resources available to students. Students should also be familiar with the information provided by organizations and academic departments, and that which is included in the College Course Catalog. The 2020-2021 Course Catalog can be found on the EC website under the Academics heading. Although a good-faith effort is made to ensure that the information provided in the Student Handbook is accurate and current, changes may occur. The College reserves the right to make changes and update regulations, policies, and procedures as necessary. It is the student’s responsibility to know and comply with the policies, regulations, and expectations contained in the Student Handbook and agree to any necessary changes. When LA is a “chilly” 68-70° in the winter and spring, Angelenos head to sunny Palm Springs for warm swimming pool weather. Palm Springs is still a relatively small city, with a population of under 50,000 residents. The few gay bars and clubs it has are often deserted mid-week, even in season, and when the temperature soars in the summer, the town really slows down.
