    BENHA VETERINARY MEDICAL JOURNAL, VOL. 23, NO. 1, JUNE 2012: 123- 130 BENHA UNIVERSITY BENHA VETERINARY MEDICAL JOURNAL FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE PREVALENCE OF BOVINE VIRAL DIARRHEA VIRUS (BVDV) IN CATTLE FROM SOME GOVERNORATES IN EGYPT. Med., Benha University, Benha, bAnimal Health Research Institute (AHRI), Dokki- c Giza, General Organization for Veterinary Medicine (GOVS), Dokki-Giza, Egypt. A B S T R A C T Diagnosis of the BVDV infection among suspected and apparently healthy cattle at Kaluobia, Giza, Menofeia and Gharbia governorates was done by detection of prevalence of BVD antibodies. A total number of 151/151(100%) and 97/151 (62.25%) of examined sera were positive for BVD antibodies using serum neutralization test (SNT) and competitive immunoenzymatic assay (cIEA), respectively. Examined sera with cIEA detected antibodies against BVDV non structral proteins P80/P125. Detection of BVDV in buffy coat samples using antigen capture ELISA showed that 22/151(14.56%) of the samples were positive for BVDV. Isolation and biotyping of suspected BVDV from buffy coat on MDBK cell line showed that 19/22 of ELISA positive buffy coat samples were cytopathogenic BVDV biotype (cpBVDV) while only 3/22 samples were CPE negative suggesting a non- cytopathogenic BVDV (ncpBVDV) biotype. Inoculated cell culture with no CPE were subjected to IFAT and IPMA using specific antisera against BVDV revealed positive results indicating presence of non-cytopathogenic strain of BVDV. It was concluded that cIEA detected antibodies against non- structural proteins P80/P125 has many advantages over SNT being for rapid diagnosis of BVDV.

    العزائم والشيعة .. حوار مع شيخ الطريقة العزمية عن عﻻقته متميز بإيران والشيعة كتب بواسطة الطريقة العزمية نشرت فى بيانات وردود الجمعة, 51 آذار/مارس 3152 35:52 نظرا لما أثير حول عﻻقة السيد عﻻء الدين ماضى أبو العزائم شيخ الطريقة العزمية ورئيس الرابطة المصرية عن عﻻقته بإيران ، واتهامه بأنه يمثل بوابة التشيع فى مصر ، كان لموقع اﻹسﻻم وطن هذا الحوار مع سماحته لتتبين الحقائق ، بعيدا عن التحليﻻت والتأويﻻت .. لماذا ينتشر بين الناس أنكم بوابة التشيع فى مصر ؟! أود فى البداية أن أبين أن هؤﻻء الذين يروجون لهذا الكﻻم يﻻحظ أنهم حيثما جلسوا وفى أى قناة فضائية ظهروا ﻻ يتحدثون إﻻ عن عدة أمور ﻻ تتغير ، منها تكفير الصوفية ، اتهام الصوفية بأنهم يعبدون اﻷضرحة ، ترويج أن التصوف أشد خطرا على اﻹسﻻم من اليهود ، والشيعة أيضا كفار ، وهم أشد خطرا على اﻹسﻻم عامة ومصر خاصة من إسرائيل! إلى غير هذه العناوين التى ﻻ يغيرونها . فﻻ تجد أحدهم جلس مجلسا أو ظهر على أى قناة فضائية ، فتحدث عن أزمة المسلمين فى مالى أو الصومال أو شمال أفريقيا ، وﻻ يتطرق إلى مآسى اﻷقليات المسلمة فى الهند أو الدول الغير مسلمة ، وﻻ تجدهم يتحدثون عن مواﻻة المسلمين للكافرين ، وﻻ يتحدثون مطلقا عن القوات اﻷمريكية مثﻻ التى تسكن بﻻد المسلمين . وﻻ يتكلمون عن مأساة تقسيم دولة السودان المسلمة إلى شمال وجنوب . كل هذه القضايا ﻻ يطرقونها من قريب أو بعيد ، وهذا يدل على أن هؤﻻء يروجون تلك اﻹشاعات واﻷكاذيب لخدمة طرف آخر . هذا الطرف هو صاحب المصلحة من وراء ذلك . ما هى حقيقة الشيعة فى إيران ، وهل هم مسلمون؟! هناك خطأ كبير يقع فيه الذين يتحدثون عن الشيعة ، فالشيعة ليست فرقة واحدة ، بل فرق متعددة ، يطلق عليهم جميعا مصطلح الشيعة ، أما الشعب اﻹيرانى فيتبع المذهب الجعفرى الذى وضعه اﻹمام جعفر الصادق ، واﻹمام جعفر الصادق هو معلم اﻹمام أبو حنيفة ، واﻹمام مالك ، واﻹمام الشافعى تلميذ اﻹمام مالك ، وبالتالى فإن مذاهب أهل السنة تعود فى النهاية على اختﻻف مسائلها الفرعية إلى مذهب اﻹمام جعفر الصادق بطريق غير مباشر .

    THE STRATEGIC URBAN DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN STUDY FOR A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GREATER CAIRO REGION IN THE ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT Final Report (Volume 2) 2.5.2 Characteristics of Specific Land Use Categories (1) Commercial area Commercial areas in GCR can be classified into three basic types: (i) the CBD; (ii) the sub-center which includes the mixed use for commercial/business and residential use; and (iii) major shopping malls such the large size commercial facilities in relatively new urban areas. The CBD is located in downtown areas, where there are mixed-use buildings that were established long ago and partly accommodate shops and stores. The major sub-centers in the main agglomeration are Shobra, Abasia, Zamalek, Heliopolis, Nasr city, Maadi in Cairo governorate and Mohandeseen, Dokki, Giza in Giza governorate. The recent trend following the mid-1990’s can been seen in the construction of shopping malls which are commercial complexes comprising a movie theater, restaurants, retail shops, and sufficient parking space or a parking building attached. These suburban shopping malls are mainly located in Nasr city, Heliopolis city, Maadi, Shobra, and Giza. There are seven industrial areas in NUCs, five industrial areas under governorates, and two public free zones in the study area. The number of registered factories is 13,483 with a total area of 76,297 ha. Among those registered factories, 3 % of factories can be categorized as large-scale which have an investment cost of more than LE10 million, or more than 500 employees.

    "Clouds in Egypt's Sky" Sexual Harassment: from Verbal Harassment to Rape A Sociological Study Scientific revision by Prepared by Dr. Aliyaa Shoukry Rasha Mohammad Hassan Professor of Anthropological Sociology ECWR Researcher Supervisor Nehad Abul Komsan ECWR Chair 1 CONCLUSIONS The issue of sexual harassment has become less taboo recently in the Egyptian media and within academic circles, and has even become a part of daily discourse among women in Egyptian society, regardless of social or economic status or political belief. In the past, women were afraid to talk about sexual harassment and considered discussing it culturally taboo. With the problem worsening, we have found that the way ahead is to encourage dialogue about this problem and to try to search for solutions. Sexual harassment has become an overwhelming and very real problem experienced by all women in Egyptian society, often on a daily basis, in public places such as markets, public transportation and the streets, as well as in private places such as educational institutions, sports clubs, and the workplace. The research component of the Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights’ (ECWR) work concerning the phenomenon of sexual harassment has progressed in three phases. In 2005 we received and documented over 100 complaints of women subjected to sexual harassment – women across all different age groups and socio-economic classes. These women spoke to us about the seriousness of the problem and the extent of their personal and private suffering. During the second phase of our research, in order to investigate the issue further and discover if the problem of sexual harassment was an isolated phenomenon or a pervasive problem faced by the majority of women in Egypt, we conducted an exploratory study surveying over 2,800 Egyptian women.
