SPRINGFIELD PARK DISTRICT’S FIRST MOVIE IN THE PARK TO BE MOVED TO SOUTHWIND PARK

[Springfield, IL] – The Springfield Park District would like to extend our congratulations to the UIS Prairie Stars Team for making it to the NCAA DII Regional Baseball playoffs! This year, the Photo courtesy of Lynn Saputo NCAA has chosen to host the tournament here in Springfield, at Robin Roberts Stadium on Friday, May 17th.

As the UIS Prairie Stars will be hosting the NCAA DII Regional Baseball playoffs at Robin Roberts Stadium this Friday, the Park district needs to relocate our season opener of Movies in the Park to Southwind Park.

Friday’s movie will be “The Perfect Game” so come out and enjoy this great family feature in the setting of Southwind Park. Bring the family out early to enjoy concessions by the Ansar Shriners! Movie will begin at dusk.

Movie in the Park is a free program where families and the entire community are invited to join us as we bring a big screen movie to your community parks on Fridays. As a convenience, concessions are available for purchase – please no outside food and drink to be allowed. These are truly great events.

In conjunction with Capitol Radio Group, the Springfield Park District is excited to be able to present this series each summer.
