Further unspoilt beaches and sailing area available either on the Percuil River or the Carrick Roads. Other nearby attractions include the world famous Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. St Austell is very well situated in Cornwall having good access to the east by road to Plymouth and out to the A30 which remains dual carriageway all the way to Exeter where it joins the national motorway network. There is easy access via the A390 down to Truro the county capital some thirty minutes drive away providing a wide array of leisure, commercial and retail facilities and both private and state schooling. Cornwall Airport Newquay at St Mawgan is some twenty minutes’ drive away and offers regular flights to Heathrow and a range of other UK city destinations together with an every increasing number of European destinations.
