RECYCLE MORE… THE TOUR BRIEF To launch ‘Recycle more…’ (NWLDC’s 3 year plan to increase the household recycling rate across the district), the council will be touring a series of interactive roadshows - ‘Recycle more… the tour’ in various locations across the district. The tour will commence on Tuesday 20 August 2019. Our aim To increase awareness and engagement of the ‘Recycle more…’ via fun and interactive roadshows - ‘Recycle more… the tour’. The roadshows will be held across 7 key areas in North West Leicestershire and aim to educate residents (both children and adults), visitors and businesses within the district on how they can recycle more, and the steps that NWLDC is making to help them do that. Mission To ensure that residents, visitors and businesses are engaged with the overall goal to increase the amount of waste that we recycle to 50% by 2021/22 and reduce the amount sent to landfill. It is hoped that we can encourage residents, visitors and businesses to take pride in their district (one of the council’s key values) by seeing the positive effects that recycling has on their local environment.
