Around town - Catch The Grinch spreading mayhem and dismay, and Too Many Cooks singing seasonal tunes.

Santa's Grotto - 2:30-5:00pm Harleston Information Plus - 8 Exchange Street Santa will welcome children into his magical grotto. Quiet time for children with special needs and access requirements 2:00-2:30pm

After dark: 4pm onwards - family fun in The Thoroughfare 5:30pm Market Place East of Co-operative Society Brass Band 6:20pm Christmas Lights switch-on by comedian, writer and performer Ben Langley of Britain's Got Talent”

Each year the residents of Wood Avens Way in Wymondham cover their houses in Christmas lights – it’s a magical sight! This year they are raising money for the Star Throwers Cancer Charity.

From Friday 7th December 2018 to Sunday 23rd December 2018 “With free admission, during these dates, situated within atmospheric wooden chalets, you will find Christmas market stalls offering a host of wares made by craftsmen plus beautiful and unique gifts. And it doesn’t end there. In the background you will hear Christmas music as you wander through the delightful myriad of stalls, experiencing the delicious scents of mulled wine, hot ginger bread, grilled sausages and roasting chestnuts. Also, the 47ft tunnel of light has returned to Norwich once again. It is located near the Forum – you can’t miss it!

“Norfolk families are invited to enjoy the best of the season at Norfolk's museums. From traditional festivities at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse and Time and Tide, to war-time memories at Ancient House and a celebration of peace at Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery - inspired by their latest exhibition Armistice: Legacy of the Great War in Norfolk.

"Museums across Norfolk will be offering special events for visitors to explore the exhibitions and also soak up the festive atmosphere and enjoy some family time," said Councillor Margaret Dewsbury, Chairman of Norfolk County Council's Communities Committee.

New for 2018 is an expanded programme in the atmospheric surroundings of Strangers’ Hall will see the magic of the famous poem ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ brought to life – complete with a visit from the ‘jolly old elf’ himself!”
