17.5117.01000 May 23, 2016 MEETING NOTICE Senator Gary A. Lee, Chairman, has called a meeting of the BUDGET SECTION. Date: Monday, June 27, 2016 Time: 10:00 a.m. Place: Senate Chamber, State Capitol, Bismarck Agenda: Presentations by representatives of the Office of Management and Budget regarding the status of the general fund, special fund balances, tobacco settlement proceeds, irregularities in the fiscal practices of the state, federal grant applications, and development of the 2017-19 executive budget; consideration of state agency requests that have been authorized by the Emergency Commission and require Budget Section approval; consideration of any North Dakota University System requests for Budget Section approval relating to capital project changes; presentations by representatives of the University System regarding the University System's plan for spending reductions due to the budget allotments; by representatives of the Department of Trust Lands on approval of state agency relinquishment of unclaimed property; by a representative of the Game and Fish Department on approval to purchase land; by the Legislative Council staff of the 2015-17 Biennium Report on Compliance with Legislative Intent and updated trust fund analyses; by a representative of the Industrial Commission relating to the abandoned oil and gas well plugging and site reclamation fund; by a representative of the Legacy and Budget Stabilization Fund Advisory Board on its activities; by a representative of the Attorney General's office on legal fees charged to higher education institutions; by a representative of the State Board of Agricultural Research and Education on the status of its activities; by a representative of the Department of Public Instruction regarding school enrollments; by a representative of the Industrial Commission regarding the core library expansion project; by representatives of North Dakota State University regarding the flooded lands study; and other presentations, including a presentation by a representative of the Housing Finance Agency regarding progress being made to reduce the number of housing units owned or leased by political subdivisions Special Note: Anyone who plans to attend the meeting and needs assistance because of a disability should contact the Legislative Council staff as soon as possible.
