Open Journal of Ecology Scientific Research Open Access ISSN Online: 2162-1993 Special Issue on Microbial Ecology Research Call for Papers Microbial Ecology is the ecology of microorganisms: their relationship with one another and with their environment. Microbes, especially bacteria, often engage in symbiotic relationships with other organisms, and these relationships affect the ecosystem. One example of these fundamental symbioses are chloroplasts, which allow eukaryotes to conduct photosynthesis. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of microbial ecology research. In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore microbial ecology research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to: Microbial resource management Flora ecology Microorganism ecology Bacteria ecology Eukaryote Nitrogen fixation Prokaryote Trace elements fractionations onto microbial membranes Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System. Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Microbial Ecology Research”should be chosen during your submission. According to the following timetable: Submission Deadline March 5th, 2014 Publication Date May 2014 Guest Editor: Professor Paolo Censi University of Palermo, Italy.
