Carlin made his Major League debut with the San Diego Padres in 2008 and played for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2009. The catcher joined the Cleveland Indians in 2010 and played in 10 Major League games with the Tribe from 2010 to 2012. BENCH COACH: – 1st Season in Lake County Kyle Hudson, 31, joins the Captains after making his professional debut last year as the bench coach for the High-A . Prior to joining the Indians, Hudson served as an Assistant Coach for his alma mater, the University of Illinois. At Illinois, Hudson was a three-year letter winner in both baseball and football. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fourth round of the 2008 Amateur Draft. Hudson made his Major League debut with Baltimore in 2011 and played 14 games in the big leagues. The outfielder played eight professional seasons with the Orioles, Rangers, Rays, Phillies and Angels’ organizations. Hudson lives two doors down from Indians pitcher Zach McAllister in Peoria, IL.
