6,500 claims lodged over blockade compensation

he Compensation Claims Committee has received 6,500 complaints from both the Tpublic and private sector since it was fi rst launched more than three months ago. Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday that the committee continues to receive complaints along with the process of classifying and reviewing them so as to take the appropriate legal procedures necessary for each case. Subsequently, the com- plaints would be referred to the international and local legal fi rms concerned. The committee receives complaints from both expatriates and Qataris, who have sustained any harms due to the blockade imposed on the country by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Egypt.
