To the Residents of Piermont and the area: The Friends of Piermont are gathering names of all veterans who were living in Piermont when they enlisted in the service. A veteran’s DD214 would be proof of residency. Once these names are gathered, they will be placed on a plaque, which will be mounted on one of the monuments at the Veterans Memorial Garden at South Lawn Cemetery. We are looking for veterans both old and young, who were in the service. Many names from WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam are already on a plaque, but some names may be missing. More recent veterans are not yet recognized in any way. If you or anyone knows of a Piermont Veteran, we want to include them. Please contact either Abby Metcalf at 603-272-4372, email
[email protected] or Bernie Marvin at 603-272-4933, email
