Bendis is one of the premiere architects of Marvel's Siege: Dark Avengers line: comics specifically created for the new generation of comic readers. Siege: Dark Avengers vs. It's a sweet bit of justice delivered by a character often used as a comic relief. And I'm usually not a fan of breaking up titles into combo books, but this just flat-out doesn't stand on its own. Will Stern, a cameraman spots Urich and convinces the arresting officer to release Urich into his custody. While in custody at Tinker Air Force Base, Will fakes a seizure and knocks the unsuspecting guard unconscious when he comes to investigate. Ares gives a rousing speech for the Initiative, Avengers, and the entire H. Bendis is a great writer, but I don't think Marvel chose a great format to publish these stories in. After years of mystery, the secrets of the Sentry are revealed! Loki, listening to the conversation, reminds Osborn of the superhuman Siege: Dark Avengers War, explaining that it all started with a tragedy in Stamford, Connecticut and that a similar tragedy could be used to gain approval for an assault. Dark Avengers, methinks I need your earlier issues! Living Laser assists some H. The Void kills Loki, but Odin grants him his wish and gives the heroes a magical boost. He has painted his face green in order to crudely resemble his former alter ego the Green Goblin. An excellent edition which compliments the first Siege book very well. This is one of the dangling storylines, as this book does not provide closure on No-Varr's status. The Dark Avengers where incredibly interesting and I think above all I was sad to see the series end after such a short run. He rants and raves at the heroes around him, telling them that now that they have stopped him that he can no longer rein in the Sentry's darker impulses. The probing of the psyches of all these larger-than-life characters is what makes Bendis' writing such compelling reading. This scene casts a whole new light on the dynamic between the two characters throughout the series, making us want to go and re-read the series from the very beginning. The book opens with No-Varr, a Kree warrior recr One of the most innovative parts of the Siege event, for me, was the supervillains disguised as superheroes - Dark Avengers. This Siege tie-in follows that group in and around Siege, even Siege: Dark Avengers events already seen but from a slightly different perspective e. This isn't the first time Marvel has managed to hold on to a secret about a new 'superhero' team. Almost 25 years ago (in 1997 to be exact – mark your calendars to celebrate next year), Marvel capitalized on the absence of teams such as the Avengers and Fantastic Four who were then trapped in the Heroes Reborn dimension by building up a high-profile new team of superheroes called the Thunderbolts. (Incidentally, this year marks the 25th anniversary of Heroes Reborn, which Marvel is celebrating by reviving the title's branding for a new summer event). Created by writer Kurt Busiek and artist Mark Bagley, the Thunderbolts were led by Citizen V, an updated version of a Golden Age Marvel hero, and promised to deliver "Justice Like Lightning" (according to their tagline), to Avengers-level villains and threats. Marvel built the new team up as a group on par with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, ready to step up and save the world in the Avengers' absence. But Thunderbolts #1 ended with its own massive twist reveal about the true nature of the heroes of the Thunderbolts (spoiler alert: they were not new characters at all, but ones readers already knew – we'll get into it).

In this class, superpupils are presented with ethical dilemmas that crop up in the day-to-day “routine” of an Avenger, and then they are asked how they would handle them and why.
