Please see page 5 for what to do if you’ve missed the move-off. HERE TO HELP During the Open Day, members of staff, wearing black t-shirts, will be on-hand to help if you have any questions. If you are in doubt about where to go and what to do, Student Guides wearing red t-shirts will also be happy to help you on the day. Also ask them about the Bangor student experience! 3 BEFORE THE OPEN DAY • Think about which academic subject/s you want to visit during the Open Day. There will be an opportunity to visit two during the day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon (please see the Main Open Day Timetable on page 3 for times). If you need to visit more than two, please let us know at the reception desk in the Main University Building on the day (51 on the map), and we’ll arrange for you to visit a third academic subject at the end of the day. • If you only want to visit one academic subject, you may want to consider arriving for the afternoon only (please see the Main Open Day Timetable on page 3) as the groups are usually smaller in the afternoon. • Take a look at the other activities taking place throughout the day – (details are on page 7 in this handbook) before you arrive to plan the other events you may wish to attend on the day. • If you or any of your party are disabled and may require reasonable adjustments (including access requirements), please advise us in advance so that we can make any necessary arrangements. • Plan your journey and allow travel time (see page 12 for how to get to Bangor and pages 13-15 for a map of the campus). • Arrange accommodation if you plan to stay in Bangor or the area whilst you visit the Open Day (see page 8). • Wear comfortable shoes – some locations are a 10 minute walk from the Main University Building. • Get the latest Open Day information: www.bangor.ac.uk/ openday.
