Your timetable calls for stops at St John’s Chapel, Westgate, Eastgate, Stanhope, Frosterley, Wolsingham, Harperley, Witton Le Wear, Bishop Auckland, Hunwick, Willington, Brancepeth, Brandon Colliery, and Durham. Make sure to stick to the tight timetable. WVR 1.02: Coal from Brandon Duration: 35 Minutes Traction: Class 08 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route Description: Two rakes of loaded coal hoppers have been loaded at the Brandon Coillery and now need to be taken to the Brandon sidings so they can be picked up. Along with the loaded hoppers, several empties have been prepared and need to be taken into the Coillery. Your job is to shunt the loaded wagons into the sidings and move the several rakes of empties to the coal loading area. WVR 1.03: Cattle for Heighington Duration: 40 Minutes Traction: Class 25 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route Descripton: A rake of empty cattle vans have been stored in the Barnard Castle goods siding, located just south of the main station. Along with a brakevan, these wagons needs to be shipped north to Heighington for loading. Your task today is to collect the wagons and proceed north. With the heavy snow blanketing the region, be prepared for any wheelslip. WVR 1.04: 1820 Bishop Auckland to Middleton in Teesdale Duration: 50 Minutes Traction: Class 105 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route and Class 105 DMU Description: You are in charge of the 1820 Bishop Auckland to Middleton in Teesdale stopper service on this service's entire trip to Middleton in Teesdale. The timetable calls for stops at West Auckland, Evenwood, cockfield Fell, Barnard Castle, Cotherstone, Romandlirk, Mickleton and Middleton in Teesdale. Unload passengers here at Bishop Auckland before setting off. Its currently rush hour, so try to stick to the timetable in order to keep passengers happy. WVR 1.05: Stormin' Northbound Duration: 50 Minutes Traction: Class 37 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route Description: A rake of loaded fuel tanker wagons need to be shipped from here at Darlington, north to Crook, where the local industires will utilize the fuel. Your rake has been loaded and constructed, so now you can head out and travel north. However, you will be following the 0720 Darlington to Durham all-stops service, so be prepared for adverse signals. WVR 1.06: Maintaining Lands Viaduct Duration: 45 Minutes Traction: Peppercorn K1 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route, Peppercorn K1 Description: The Lands Viaduct Bridge opened up in 1863, and since then, the bridge has seen heavy coal traffic and extensive passenger traffic. Now, its time to update the bridge. Contractors have ordered several large pieces of steel bridge parts from Wolsingham steel to be transported down to the site at Lands Viaduct. The load is very heavy, and though for a diesel, but you'll have to complete the task utilizing a K1 steam locomotive. Collect all the cars and head down to the viaduct, where you will disassemble the consist. WVR 1.07: Middleton Shuttle Duration: 35 Minutes Traction: Class 105 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route, Class 105 Description: Your job today is to run the 0530 Middleton in Teesdale to Barnard Castle all-stops service from here in Middleton in Teesdale, all the way to the terminus, Barnard Castle. Its the morning rush to work, and with the heavy snow fall, the pressure from both passengers and the weather will be high. However, with the heavy snow fall, don't expect things to go to plan. WVR 1.08: Railtour Detour Duration: 45 Minutes Traction: Peppercorn K1 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route, Peppercorn K1 Description: You have been given the special task of driving the Middleton in Teesdale to London Kings Cross steam railtour across the Wear Valley from Middleton to Darlington, where another driver will take over. This railtour was orignally scheduled to run via Piercebridge, but due to a collison between a car and a Middleton bound stopper service at Gainford, all services between Barnard Castle and Darlington have been re-routed via West Auckland and Shildon. With that, you will now need to climb the challenging grades up to Lands Viaduct. Also, an additonal stop at Shildon has been added to the timetable. WVR 1.09: Spenny Transfer Duration: 55 Minutes Traction: Class 31 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route, BR Blue Pack Description: A rake of empty brick vans are currently taking up a siding here in Crook and need to be taken to Spennymoor to make room for other wagons. Your job is to use your Class 31 locomotive and transfer the wgaons over to Spennymoor. Once you have dropped the wagons off at Spennymoor, you will need to head back down the branch and collect another string of brick wagons before heading back up to Spennymoor. WVR 1.10: Helping Out Duration: 45 Minutes Traction: Class 25 Requirements: Weardale and Teesdale Route, BR Blue Pack Description: A London Kings Cross to Newcastle via Bishop Auckland passenger service has broken down at the Bank Top station and needs to be rescued. That's where you come in. For the job, you've been given a Class 25 engine which needs refueling. Once you have topped off the fuel tank, head over to the platform and collect the passenger service. Once you have the consist and passengers have boarded, depart for Newcastle while stopping at Bishop Auckland and Durham en- route.
