UMass and Quinnipiac Lead New England Hockey Writers Men’s D-1 Honorees Longtime TD Garden Executive Steve Nazro To Receive Parker-York Award at April 17 Dinner

NCAA-bound UMass and Quinnipiac dominate the 2018-19 New England Men’s Division I All-Star Team announced today by the New England Hockey Writers Association. Six of the 14 All-Stars come from these two institutions who are preparing for the NCAA Regionals this weekend. Also among the honored are five players from AIC, Harvard, Northeast- ern and Providence who are also still competing for a national championship. In addition to the All-Stars, UMass walked off with four of the major individual awards, including Player of the Year (Leonard Fowle Award) in sophomore defenseman Cale Makar and Coach of the Year (Clark Hodder Award) to . Longtime TD Garden executive and legendary supporter of amateur hockey Steve Nazro will receive the Park- er-York for lifetime contribution to amateur hockey in New England. In addition to these N.E. Hockey Writers’ honors, the April 17 dinner at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, MA, will feature the presentation of the Gridiron Club of Boston’s Walter Brown and Joe Concannon awards, the J. Thom Lawler Award given by the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Officials Association and All-Star recogni- tion for other divisions of college hockey in New England.
