Homeopathy had worked so well for him— two years of cure after a short course of the remedy…

Knock, knock … I was about ten minutes into meeting with her when there was a strange knock at the door. My associate’s receptionist poked her head in: “I’m sorry to interrupt, but there is a patient at the front desk saying he needs a refi ll on a remedy you gave him…?” After excusing myself and walking toward the front desk, my face assumed a rather quizzical frown. Who was this person and why was he interrupting us? “Hello, I’m sure you won’t remember, but two years ago you treated me for a problem and cured it. Well it seems to have come back just yesterday! I was hoping you would refi ll this bottle,” the man said. The small glass vial had a worn label—“Ars. alb. 30.” Sure enough, I did recognize the writing. I found his chart in the ominously labeled “dead fi les,” and after checking his returning symptoms, I refi lled the bottle with the instruction to come back if the remedy did not work speedily. A quick nod, and he was off to struggling in Friday afternoon traffi c. As his case slowly crept back into my aging memory, a swell of interest followed. Arsenicum album 30c had worked so well for him—two years of cure after a short course of the remedy—that I decided there may be a useful point or two in sharing his story here.
