AUTHORIZATION IN VIRTUE of the powers conferred on the High Commissioner by Article 27 (2) of the Air Navigation (Colonies, Protectorates and Mandated Territories) Order, 1927, I hereby certify that by a special and temporary authorization permission has been granted for the flight within the limits of Palestine (including the territorial waters adjacent thereto) of the following aircraft of Egyptian nationality:— Type of Aircraft Registration Mark WACO SU—A AN. This permission is limited to the period from the 10th August, 1935, to the 10th September, 1935, inclusive and is granted subject to the following conditions : — (a) The aircraft and its crew and passengers shall be liable to all the legal obligations which arise from general legislation, from Customs legislation and import and export regulations and any regulations which may be laid down for public safety. — 780 - (b) The occupants of the aeroplane shall deposit with the local Police Authorities all firearms in their possession at the time of their first arrival in Palestine, to be held in custody by the Police until the final departure of the aeroplane from Palestine. (c) If permission is given to land at any aerodrome or landing ground controlled by the Royal Air Force, it will be subject to the understanding that the occupants of the aeroplane will observe any conditions which may be imposed by the Royal Air Force Authorities in regard to the carriage or use of cameras in aircraft. IN EXERCISE of the powers vested in the High Commissioner by section 230 of the Customs Ordinance, 1929, the Officer Administering the Government has made the following rules:— Citation. 1. These rules may be cited as the Customs (Amendment) .1935׳ ,Rules (No. 3j Interpretation. 2. In these rules the term "principal rules" shall mean the rules made under the Customs Ordinance, 1929, and published in the Gazette Extraordinary dated the fifteenth day of March, 1929. Amendment of 3. Rule 49 of the principal rules shall be amended :— rule 49 of the principal rules. , x , ! , . * • ^ . • • .! (a) by the substitution of the following sub-section in the place of sub-section (2) thereof as enacted in paragraph (b) of rule 3 of the Customs (Amendment) Rules, 1934 :•— "(2). Sundays and public holidays shall be excluded Irom the periods for which no charge is made of three, five and six days referred to in paragraphs (i), (ii), and (hi), respectively, of the proviso to sub section (1) hereof and from the periods of eight, ten and• twenty-eight days referred to in paragraphs (iv), (v) and (vi), respectively, of that proviso and also from any subsequent period when rent for storage is chargeable;" and (•&) by the addition of the following proviso to sub-section (3) thereof:— "Provided that in the case of potash deposited pending export, storage shall be charged from the date of deposit at the rate of two mils per square metre per day". NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT SETTLEMENT OFFICER BY THE OFFICER ADMINISTERING THE GOVERNMENT UNDER SECTION 4. IN EXERCISE of the powers vested in the High Commissioner by section 4 (1) of the Land Settlement Ordinance, 1928, the Officer Administering the Govern• ment has been pleased to appoint Ma. IBRAHIM BEIDAS to be Assistant Settlement Officer in any area in respect of which a Settlement Order has been made under section 3 of the said Ordinance and the Officer Administering the Government has authorized him to act for any Settlement Officer appointed to any such area for the purposes and subject to the provisions of the following Ordinances:— The Correction of Land Registers Ordinance, 1926—section 12; The Land Settlement Ordinances, 1928-1933, sections 7, 8, 9, 21, 22(1), 22(3), 24, 26, 27(5), and 27A: Provided that: (a) the actions of the said Assistant Settlement Officer shall in every case be subject to the approval of the Settlement Officer of the area con• cerned ; (6) the said Assistant Settlement Oificer shall not adjust the rights of the owners of the land affected by the lay-out of a fresh boundary in place of the original boundary; and (c) the said Assistant Settlement Officer shall not administer oaths other than the oath which a claimant is required to make in the statement accompanying his memorandum of claim. Commissioner of Lands and Surveys. (Gaz/U/34) — 785 - TOWN PLANNING ORDINANCES, 1921-1929. NOTICE OF APPROVAL OF TOWN PLANNING SCHEMES BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER. WHEREAS nine schemes within the Town Planning Area of Jerusalem, and as enumerated in the schedule hereto, were provisionally approved by the Central Town Planning Commission and notice of the deposit of the schemes at the Municipal Offices, Jerusalem, was published in fhe Palestine Gazette as stated in the schedule. And whereas an objection has been lodged against one scheme only and has been considered, and the Central Town Planning Commission has applied to the High Commissioner for authority to put the schemes in force; AND WHEREAS the schemes with the plans annexed have been produced to the High Commissioner and signed by him; Now, therefore, it is hereby notified in accordance with section 17 of the Town Planning Ordinances, 1921-1929, that the High Commissioner has approved the schemes and the plans •and the schemes will come into force fifteen days after the publication of this notice in the Palestine Gazette and notice is hereby given that the schemes and plans have been deposited and are open for inspection at the Municipal Offices, Jerusalem.
