Thereafter, in the form of a rally, they started from no.40 Nimach and passing through Kamal Chowk, Fawara Chowk, they courted arrest at the temporary jail behind police control room. They were arrested by the police under section 151, 107 and 116(3) in case number 23/22.6.12 of P.S. Nimach and were produced before SDM, Nimach and were released on the spot on personal bonds.” ——— ∗ Original communication was received in Hindi 2 No.: 49763 Legislative Section Arrest and release of Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Member, Rajya Sabha The following communication∗, dated 25.06.2012, addressed to the Chairman Rajya Sabha, has been received from the Superintendent of Police, Mandla, Madhya Pradesh:- “I have the honour to inform you that the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) had called a nationwide ‘jail bharo’ Andolan to fill the jails on 22.6.2012 to protest against inflation, anti-farmers policy of the Central Government. In this connection, an assembly was held by the BJP with the presence of around 250 activists on 22.6.2012 at 1400 hours at Narayanganj, Takaria Police Station of the District during which Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Member, Rajya Sabha and 219 BJP functionaries along with the BJP activists courted arrests at 1600 hours. They were arrested under section 151/107, 116(3) of the code of criminal procedure in case no.58/2012 and produced before the Tehsildar XXX XXX and were immediately released on personal bond..” ——— No.: 49764 Conference & Protocol Section FAREWELL BY MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT TO SMT. PRATIBHA DEVISINGH PATIL PRESIDENT OF INDIA To bid farewell to Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of India, a meeting of the Members of Parliament will be held on Monday, the 23rd July, 2012 at 05.30 P.M. in the Central Hall, Parliament House. On behalf of the Members, a farewell address will be presented to the President. A scroll signed by Members will also be presented to the President by the Speaker, Lok Sabha. The meeting will be followed by tea on the lawns between Gate No. 9 and Central Hall, Parliament House. Members are requested kindly to make it convenient to attend the meeting and also join for the tea. The scroll is kept in the Central Hall for signatures of Members.
