The highest bidder to be the Purchaser and no bidding shall be retracted after the hammer has fallen. The Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bidding and in the event of any dispute the Lot may be put up again at the Auctioneer’s discretion. 2. All Lots are put up for sale, subject to any reserve price imposed by the Vendor. 3. The description of the various Lots is believed to be correct. For the guidance of Purchasers approximate measurements of some Lots are given in the Catalogue, but it must be emphasised that this information is given for guidance only. No warranty as to weight, quality or condition can be given and any intending Purchaser shall be deemed to have inspected the Lot in which he is interested. 4. All Lots are sold for cash and must be paid for at the termination of the Sale. Intending Purchasers unknown to the Auctioneer are requested to bring Bankers Draft or pay by cash. All Lots paid for by cheque must not be moved (except with the permission of the Auctioneer) until the cheque is cleared. 5. Retention of Title – Title in all lots remains vested with the Auctioneer until payment in full has been made. In the event of the lots being resold before payment is made, the purchaser shall hold the proceeds of such sale on trust for the Auctioneer. 6. All Lots must be removed as stated in the Catalogue, and if not so removed the Purchaser shall pay the Vendor a penalty of £10 per week or part week until final clearance or forfeit the balance of the Lot at the Vendor’s discretion. The Purchaser shall indemnify the Vendor for any damage that may be caused to gates, fences, buildings, etc. in the course of the removal of any Lot. 7. The Auctioneer intends to sell in the order Lotted and described in the Catalogue and reserves the right to make any alteration if so required. 8. The Auctioneer will not be responsible for any Lots damaged by fire, accident or otherwise, and all Lots are the Purchaser’s responsibility from the fall of the hammer. 9. Upon failure of complying with the above conditions, money deposited in payment will be forfeited and the Lots which may remain un-cleared after the time aforesaid will be sold by public or private sale, without notice to the former Purchaser and the deficiency (if any) by such second Sale, together with all charges attending the same, shall be made good by the defaulter at this Sale. 10. In the event of non-sale at the auction any future negotiations are to be through the Auctioneer, as agent of the Vendor, when these conditions will apply, subject to any written arrangements to the contrary. REMARKS 1. The Auctioneer, who has inspected some of the Lots, will supply additional information on any particular Lots as far as he can as to quality, quantity and position, but no warranty can be given. Some vendors have supplied their own opinions on quality as noted in (brackets) but provide no warranty. 2. The Auctioneer will carefully execute written commissions/tenders from those unable to attend the Sale and will purchase Lots as cheaply as allowed by other bidders. 3. Round Bales and Big Square Bales will be sold as per the catalogue or “off the stack” in convenient lots, generally at least 25 bales or more, subject to the sole discretion of the Auctioneer. Conventional bales may be split into smaller lots to suit load sizes. All lots will be sold “per bale” or per tonne for pit silage/roots. 4. Square bale sizes are an estimated average length x width x height. Round bale sizes are an estimated average diameter (in centimetres). STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS 2016 No. 587 HOUSING, ENGLAND The Housing (Right to Buy) (Designated Rural Areas and Designated Regions) (England) Order 2016 Made - - - - 16th May 2016 Laid before Parliament 19th May 2016 Coming into force - - 20th June 2016 The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 157(1)(c) and (3) of the Housing Act 1985(1), makes the following Order: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1. This Order may be cited as the Housing (Right to Buy) (Designated Rural Areas and Designated Regions) (England) Order 2016 and comes into force on 20th June 2016. 2. In this Order “the Act” means the Housing Act 1985. Designated rural areas 3. The areas specified in the Schedule are designated as rural areas for the purposes of section 157 of the Act. Designated regions 4. In relation to a dwelling-house which is situated in a rural area designated by article 3 and listed in paragraph 1 of the Schedule, the region designated for the purposes of section 157(3) of the Act is the district of Chichester. 5. In relation to a dwelling-house which is situated in a rural area designated by article 3 and listed in paragraph 2 of the Schedule, the region designated for the purposes of section 157(3) of the Act is the district of Malvern Hills. Home Choice Plus has been designed to improve access to affordable housing. The advantage is that you only register once and the scheme allows you to view and bid on available properties for which you are eligible across all of the districts. Home Choice Plus has been developed by a number of Local Authorities and Housing Associations working in partnership. Home Choice Plus is a way of allocating housing and advertising other housing options across the participating Local Authority areas. (Home Choice Plus will also be used for advertising other housing options such as private rents and intermediate rents). This booklet explains how to look for housing across all of the Districts involved in this scheme. Please see website for further information. It may come as a surprise that two of the siblings of Edward James Harris who emigrated to Canada before WWI had already married and started a family in England before leaving these shores. They were George and Edith. Even more surprisingly, Agnes and Hubert, who arrived in Canada as singletons, chose partners who were – like themselves – recently arrived ex-pats and married siblings from the same family of Scottish emigrants, the Craiks. MORGAN WATKIN County Health Department, Abet ystwyth Received7.x.66 1.INTRODUCTION THEwestern limits of Worcestershire lie about thirty miles to the east of Offa's Dyke—the traditional boundary between England and Wales —yet Evesham in the south-eastern part of the county is described by its abbot in a petition to Thomas Cromwell in as situated within the Principality of Wales. The Star Chamber Proceedings (No. 4) in the reign of Henry VII refer to the bridge of stone at Worcester by which the king's subjects crossed from England into Wales and the demonstrations against the Act of 1430 regulating navigation along the Severn were supported by large numbers of Welshmen living on the right bank of the river in Worcestershire. The object of the investigation is to ascertain whether significant genetic differences exist in the population of Worcestershire and south-western Warwickshire and, in particular, whether the people living west of the Severn are more akin to the Welsh than to the English. The possibility of determining, on genetic grounds, whether the Anglo- Saxon penetration was strongest from the south up the rivers Severn and Avon, or across the watershed from the Trent in the north, or from the east through Oxfordshire and Warwickshire is also explored. 2. THECOUNTY Worcestershirehas fluctuated in size over the centuries and Stratford-on-Avon came for a period under its jurisdiction while Shipston-on-Stour, now a Warwickshire township, remained in one of the detached portions of Worcestershire until the turn of the present century.
