New Member Education Program: Delta

Fraternity/Sorority: Delta Lambda Phi Chapter: Semester: Spring 2018 Beginning and End Date: February 25th – April 8th

Summary: New Member Education for DLP focuses mainly on new members learning about how and specifically why our fraternity was founded. We also make sure to stress the ways in which our fraternity is different, both positively, in the sense that we provide a place for gay, bisexual and progressive men to meet and feel comfortable in a fraternity setting, but also some of the negative, meaning that there are some rules that work differently for our fraternity, such as our “Hands Off” policy, that other fraternities may not have to worry about. The new members are also expected to learn the basic lessons and tools needed to a fraternity member at NYU in general.
