OMICRON DELTA KAPPA The National Leadership Honor Society OUTSTANDING FRESHMAN Award Application

The Omicron Delta Kappa Society is the national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni that recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Membership in ODK is a mark of the highest distinction and honor. Each year ODK chooses up to two Freshman students who have made their academic and extracurricular activities during high school and their Freshman year. To be considered for the award, Freshman must fill out an application and follow the guidelines listed below:

1. A cumulative GPA above 3.300 and a minimum of 24 credit hours (including the current semester) are required for consideration.

2. The student must submit a University of Alabama transcript (MyBama copy is sufficient)

3. On the following pages fill in your personal information as well as high school and college honors and activities.

4. After you have completed the application and the required material, please place the entire set of information in a 9 x 12-inch manila envelope and write “Omicron Delta Kappa, Outstanding Freshman Award” on the outside. The application and required material is due by Monday, February 24, 2020 to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (Room 2500 Ferguson Student Center) no later than 5:00 PM CST.
