Sarajevo a Stud Y in the Origins of the Grea Τ War
SARAJEVO A STUD Y IN THE ORIGINS OF THE GREA Τ WAR By R. W. SETON-WATSON D.Litt. (Oxon), Hon. Ph.D. (Prague and Zagreb); Masaryk Professor of Central European History in the University of London; Hon. Member of the Roumanian Academy LONDON: HUTCHINSON & CO. (Publishers), LTD. PATERNOSTER ROW, E.C. Made and Printed in Great Britain by The Camelot Press Limited, London and Southampton TO MY WIFE AS A MEMORY OF FOUR JUGOSLAV JOURNEYS TOGETHER (1912, 1913, 1920, 1925.) SARAJEVO (A SERB FOLKSONG) Sarajevo, whence comes thy gloom? Tell me, has fire consumed thee? Or has the flood engulfed thy streets? Or has the plague laid hold on thee? Softly Sarajevo gives answer: " Had fire consumed me so sore, My shining courts would rise again. Had the fierce flood engulfed my streets, My markets would be cleansed and fresh. But plague has laid her murderous hand, Her murderous hand on young and old, And those I love has torn apart." PREFACE MUCH has been written on the immediate origins of the Great War and the complicated diplomatic conflict which preceded actual hostilities; but till very recently the Balkan aspect of the question has not received the attention which it deserves. The two most authoritative surveys in English — Mr. Headlam-Morley's The History of Twelve Days (1915) and Sir Charles Oman's The Outbreak of the War (1918) — are now both out of date, owing to the subsequent publication of the German and Austrian diplomatic documents, and of much supple- mentary material of a less official character. Thus there is great need of a book summarising all the latest evidence on a question which is of burning importance in the Europe of to-day. -

Letters From Leaders Life doesn’t just go up, up and up. We all have to confront and deal with adversity at different times in our life. Determination to get through it is very important as is belief that you will get through it. I faced my toughest challenge in my life when both my parents passed away, within a year of each other, when I was 18. I had to leave my home in Brooklyn during my sophomore year at N.Y.U and go to live with my sister, her husband and their one-year-old daughter in Bayside, Queens. Because of them and an active support group of friends at N.Y.U – where I became President of the college’s Student Council – I didn’t face my loneliness and feelings of being an “orphan” until I was living alone at Harvard Law School a few years later. Given I had a lifetime aggregate sum of $4,000 to my name, I was dependent on a full tuition scholarship which I would lose if I didn’t maintain at least a “B” average. With no one from my support group present to help me get through this period of deep anxiety, I turned to the law school’s psychiatrist for a year to help get me through this dark transitional period. During this time, I learned a critical life lesson: it is certainly no sign of weakness to get professional help when needed. My next major life turning point occurred in the year 1960. I was an associate at the law fi rm of Rosenman, Colin, Petschek and Freund servicing clients such as CBS, CBS founder William Paley and other major corporations. -

Travis Scott and Fortnite
NIELSEN SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT TRAVIS SCOTT ASTRONOMICAL @FORTNITE MAY 2020 Copyright © 2020 The Nielsen Company (US), LLC. Confidential and proprietary. Do not distribute. INTRODUCTION The extreme quarantine and lockdown measures have quickly become the new normal for us all. The direct impact on event attendance across entertainment and sports has caused many businesses to rethink how they can engage with their target audiences during this time. Fortnite, the online video game, has adapted to these circumstances and reinvented the concept of aggregation. Epic Games, in collaboration with Travis Scott, organized a unique musical journey inspired by the artist's influences and created from scratch within Fortnite: Astronomical. Epic Games planned a multi-date tour, with times suitable for players from all over the world, in which Travis Scott also performed a world preview song. The American artist attracted millions of people, who all tuned in via the game, in addition to various other video streaming platforms such as Youtube and Twitch, which also allowed viewers to watch the performances. As an example, the average minute audience (AMA) for this event on Epic Games’ official Twitch channel reached a total of 4.7M, with roughly half of that (2.3M) coming from live viewers during the initial event. Besides being at the forefront of reinventing entertainment formats, Fortnite continues to be a highly lucrative and well-known game. It made $1.8B* in 2019, and in Q1 2020 it remained as one of the highest- grossing and well-known gaming titles in the United States. Between March and April console and PC revenue grew 106% and the game hit an all-time high awareness level amongst the gaming community (92% awareness in the US**) showing that the event paid off. -
