Shuri Castle 、Shureimon (outside visit) – Shuri Castle is a gusuku (Okinawan) style Japanese Castle which dates back to the 14th century, and was constructed by the Ryukyu kingdom. Shuri Castle contained the palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Shureimon is one the main gate of Shuri Castle. The gate reflects strong Chinese influence, alongside indigenous religious traditions. The four Chinese characters framed on the gate - Shu, rei, no, and kuni, which mean 'Land of Propriety' - were added to the gate long after it was built. The structure of the gate is similar to that of Chinese three-bay turret gates, and is covered with a red hip-and-gable tiled roof. Frequented by young people, families and tourists, the area has large stores selling high end designer fashion goods and brand name items at stores such as; Tsutaya, Toys R Us, Best Denki (electronics store), Duty Free, Co-op market, San-A (super market). The area also has many restaurants and a movie theater. Kokusaidori – It is the main shopping precinct in Naha, with souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and fashion boutiques along both sides. Historically Kokusaidori was known as 'The Miracle Mile' because of its rapid recovery after World War II. Ryukyu Mura – it is a small theme park about traditional Okinawan culture in the form of a recreated village from the times of the Ryukyu Kingdom. The village includes a traditional residence with a red tiled roof and surrounding stone walls against typhoons, a shrine and various workshops where visitors may participate in hands-on experiences such as pottery, weaving or painting. Performances are held at the village, including Eisa Taiko drumming, dances and concerts. Okashigoten Confectionary Factory Line – original Beni-imo tarts are made in the line factory where you can get to see its final process of manufacturing through the window in the shop, and where you can find the famous Okinawan sweets products such as Beniimo Tart and purple yam cream. Mihama American Village – the entertainment complex' theme of Americana provides a nostalgic pleasure for residents of the bases as well as an interesting diversion for the locals. The Mihama American Village resembles a big American outdoor shopping mall with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. The most recognizable feature of the American Village is the large Ferris wheel. Aeon Shopping mall – It is one of the popular shopping mall in Naha. The property includes approximately 80 specialty stores, such as apparel stores, fashion stores and restaurants. Gyokusendo Kingdom Village – Gyokusendo Cave it is the second longest cave in the entire country. 890 meters of the cave are open to the public and feature spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. The stalagmites that formed from coral droplets and the 900,000 stalactites that formed from coral display a natural transformation – which took place over approximately 300,000 years ago. Enjoy this quiet world wrapped in mystique. You can also enjoy the Eisa Show in the Kingdom Village. It is Okinawan traditional performing art by using traditional instrument like guitar and drums. (Gyokusendo Cave is not recommended for handicapped passengers or occupy with wheelchair. Those passengers can enjoy others attractions inside the Gyokusendo Kingdom Village.) . Ashibinaa Outlet Mall – Ashibinna is Okinawa's first ever outlet mall, with 70 global brands located in one location offering goods at 30-80% of their regular price. Manzamou – named by the King Shoukei of the Ryukyu Dynasty, Manzamou means an area of grass to sit 10,000 people. The cliff is located in the middle of the coast of Okinawa Main Island and looks like an elephant's nose. The plateau above it is made of raised ancient coral reefs beaten by the waves. Most of the plants you see around this area are designated as special natural treasures. The view from the cliff, 15 to 20 meter above the sea, is breath-taking but you must be careful not to miss the trail. Katsuren Castle Remains – It was registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, where has a Legend of Hero Amawari who loved by locals. You can capture a full view of the Katsuren Castle Remains at the open space in front of the castle. One of the features of the castle is smooth curved and heaped stone walls. The figure that stands on a hill with a blue sky was likened to a huge sailing vessel. This is a scenic site with a 360-degrees view from the top of 98 meters high. (Need to takes about 180 steps up to the top of Castle Remains, please wear comfortable shoes. This attraction is not recommended for Physically Challenged Passengers or occupy with wheelchair, recommended to have outside photo stop only) . AEON Mall Okinawa Rycom – The Mall has gathered approx. 220 stores, including 46 first-ever stores in Kyushu and Okinawa regions and 70 first-ever stores in Okinawa.
