    „Neil Young ist einer der Gründe, warum ich überhaupt Musik mache!“ Eine Weltkarriere im Hintergrund „Mr. Vain“, „Right In the Night“, „Love is The Price“ – millionenfach verkauft, haben diese Hits Interpreten wie Culture Beat, Jam & Spoon oder DJ Bobo weltberühmt gemacht. Geschrieben hat sie allesamt allerdings ein anderer: Der Darmstädter Nosie Katzmann. Anfang 2008 veröffentlichte der Sänger und Songwriter das Album „Songbook 1“ mit ausschließlich neuen Songs, das bei Fans und Kritikern hohe Anerkennung fand. Ende August 2009 folgte mit „Greatest Hits 1“, einer Auswahl von eigenen Neuinterpretationen seiner größten Charterfolge, der zweite Streich. Deine letzte Veröffentlichung mit einem eigenen Projekt, die Single „Change/Shake it“ von Pirates of Pop liegt nun fast 20 Jahre zurück. Nun erschien im Februar mit dem „Songbook 1“ erstmals wieder ein Album mit eigenen Songs unter Deinem Namen. Warum hat das so lange gedauert? Nosie: Ich hatte, von einem eigenen Projekt mit Steven Levis und Kim Sanders mal abgesehen, keine Zeit für eigene Sachen und, ganz ehrlich gesagt, auch keine Lust. Die wenige freie Zeit, die ich hatte, habe ich lieber mit anderen Dingen ausgefüllt. Du hast zwei Dekaden lang überaus erfolgreich für andere Leute Songs geschrieben. Liegt vielleicht auch darin ein Handicap, eigene Songs parallel zu veröffentlichen? Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass man –wenn man eigene Bandambitionen verfolgt- immer auch in Zugzwang steht, Songs weiterzugeben, die man eigentlich lieber selbst veröffentlichen möchte. Nein, gar nicht. Solche Gedanken kenne ich nicht. Ich sehe mich ja in erster Linie als Singer/Songwriter und wenn ich für andere Leute auch Songs schreiben kann, ist das umso besser.
