The major sources of information for this document are: The 2006, 2011, and 2016 Census from Statistics Canada SuperDemographics 2017 from Manifold Data Mining Inc. The most recent Census was conducted in May 2016. Statistics Canada has indicated that all the 2016 census results will be released before the end of 2017. SuperDemographics 2017 is the most up to date estimation of population characteristics, based on mathematical models that draw from various data sources. Manifold Projection Method: Manifold SuperDemographics estimates demographic data annually, including population projections for 5 and 10 years in the future.
