We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Investments and Treasury team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This department is responsible for Corporate Financing and Investment activities, Asset & Liability Management, Liquidity and Capital Management, aspects of Mortgage Banking Operations, and associated Financial processes.

The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Mortgage Banking team. This position is responsible for the execution, , and analytical support pertaining to all of Group’s mortgage sale activity (over $3 billion annually). The role will also be responsible for mortgage related financial risk management processes and ensuring that risk exposures are within established parameters.

Responsibilities include: • Management of inventories within the mortgage warehouse, including planning and executing mortgage sale transactions; • Valuation of mortgage sale transactions using a variety of standard and specialized valuation techniques; • Review and measurement of mortgage exposures and hedging requirements, including the recommendation and execution of new hedge transactions as required; • Provide other analytical support pertaining to mortgage financing and hedging activities.

Qualifications: • 2+ years experience in an accounting or financial market related position with an understanding of financial markets and valuation approaches; • Post secondary degree/diploma specializing in Accounting/Finance such as Bachelor of Commerce or other relevant program.; • Strong proficiency in PC applications, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint; • Proven analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining a strong attention to detail; • Well developed communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team; ______
