The application and enrolment process Application process Through your home university which nominates you to study at Sherbrooke Deadlines for nomination Deadlines for March 31st for both semesters application Visa (if necessary) To obtain the student permit issued by the Government of Canada, you must first have the Certificat d'acceptation du Québec (CAQ). You will find the permit request form at all Canadian diplomatic offices (embassies, High Commissioner’s Offices or consulates) in your home country. A fee of CAD$125 is required for the permit. Delays could be long and may vary depending on your country of residence. It is therefore important to start the process as soon as you receive your Admission Offer from the Université de Sherbrooke. The CAQ and the student permit are not required for programs that are under six months in length. Health insurance Health insurance is mandatory in Quebec. Unless there is an agreement between your country and Quebec, you must pay CAD$720 for a group health insurance plan. How/ When to enrol Official registration takes place once on campus.
