Christmas Celebration - On Sunday, December 5th, the John Turner Family got together for the first Christmas gathering. This included a visit from Santa Claus. The great grandchildren got to give Santa a list of what they wanted for Christmas. This has been a tradition since 1986. The grandchildren decorated a tree and Santa came to get their list. Although thirteen family member were unable to attend, a good time was had by all.

Sonny and Bobbie Sue Lonas recently vacationed in Southern California. Being present at the 2011 Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, was the high light of the trip. They also attended the up-close viewing of the floats, held the day after the parade. Other points of interest visited were the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum, Hollywood, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, downtown Los Angeles, dinner-show on the Queen Mary, dinner at the famous Lowry’s Prime-Rib Restaurant and a day tour of Catalina Island.
