Online Book Collections

In addition to our sizable school library, Thornhill Woods P.S. families have access to many wonderful online collections. Please consider using these excellent resources when reading with your children at home, or encouraging them to read independently on a computer or tablet.

The following websites are available to our students at Thornhill Woods P.S. and through the Public Libraries. Remember Vaughan Public Library cards are free for all residents living in Vaughan.

Bookflix Bookflix is an online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. As an engaging way to link fact and fiction, Bookflix reinforces early reading skills and introduces children to a world of knowledge and exploration. Vaughan Public Libraries also has access to the Tumblebook library collection, as well TumblebookCloud Junior, which offers ebooks, audiobooks, graphic novels and educational videos for older elementary students. eReaders for loan from the Vaughan Public Libraries Kobo Mini eReaders are available for loan to Vaughan Public Library patrons. Kobo Minis:Teens have been loaded with books for teens and Kobo Minis:Kids have been loaded with books for children.
