The 2018 Report is extremely important to us, as 2018 signals the operational completion of our project, and during this year: A) Both the construction and the full operation of the Ionia Odos motorway have been completed, a project linking 2 Regions, 4 prefectures and 10 Municipalities, giving a boost to development not only in Western Greece and Epirus, but in the whole country, B) Significant infrastructure upgrade projects have also been designed, implemented and completed at the A.TH.E Motorway section from Metamorphosis in Attica to Scarfia, a section we operate, maintain and manage. During the first year of the full operation of the motorways - with 500 employees in management and operation, with more than 350 kilometres of modern, safe motorways in 7 prefectures of our country with a multitude of local communities - we incorporated in our daily operations actions, activities and programs we had designed, aiming at supporting and implementing the key strategic and development pillars of our company for the upcoming years. -

The authors’ intention is to discuss bathing in thermal springs as a sociocultural practice deeply rooted in 3 history and collective experience (Erfurt-Cooper & Cooper, 2009), to follow its transformations in the course of time, and to Despoina Lampada analyze the complexity of its present state. We demonstrate that patterns in footwall relief along the faults reflect fault segmentation, and we show that in this study area, fault throw is 2 to 3 times the maximum footwall relief. Rivers crossing the faults typically have two knickpoints, which are unrelated to Correspondence to: A. C. Whittaker, lithology. Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2) Fourteenth Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities Twenty-Fourth Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities The area that was known as Epicnemidian Locris in Antiquity is a region of central Greece lying on the eastern seaboard of the Balkan Peninsula, on the shores of the Aegean Sea. Its borders probably coincided, approximately, with Mount Cnemis in the east, the Callidromus massif in the south and the Spercheius river basin in the west. The waters of the Malian Gulf and the Island of Euboea lay to the North (Figures 1 and 2). From 2004, as part of Research Projects BHA2001-0157, HAR2008- 04081/HIST and HAR2011-25443, subsidised by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, of the Agreement number 028700 (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Company Ontex Peninsular S.A.), subsidised by the Company Ontex Peninsular S.A. and the Agreement of the Ministry of Culture of the Hellenic Republic Αρ.Πρωτ. ΥΠΠΟ/ΓΔΑΠΚ/ΑΡΧ/Α2/Φ15/73900π.ε./31/2-3-2004, a Spanish-Greek team from the Fourteenth Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, under the direction of Maria-Foteini Papakonstantinou and from the side of University of the staff of the Department of Ancient History,1 has developed a research project in Epicnemidian Locris (see also A.J. Domínguez, Teiresias 35, part 1, 2005). Τhis is the first historic-topographical research in the region and the first joint official Greek-Spanish field work in Greek territory. -

Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, Vol. 94, No. 4, pp. 1305–1326, August 2004 The 20 and 27 April 1894 (Locris, Central Greece) Earthquake Sources through Coeval Records on Macroseismic Effects by Paola Albini and Daniela Pantosti Abstract Newly retrieved coeval records on the effects of the two large earth- quakes of 20 and 27 April 1894 in Locris (central Greece) have been analyzed to assess macroseismic intensities according to the European Macroseismic Scale (Gru¨nthal, 1998). An intensity equal or higher than 8 has been estimated at 70 dif- ferent places. The two earthquakes were close in time and both focused on the same area; this asked for an interpretation free, as much as possible, from the prejudice due to the accumulative descriptions implied, for instance, by the 1894 scientists’ reports. To image the earthquake sources and derive the main seismic parameters, we processed the macroseismic intensity data by using the Boxer method proposed by Gasperini et al. (1999). On the basis of this approach and our new sets of data, we obtain M 6.4 and 6.5 for the 20 and 27 April earthquakes, respectively, the latter being substantially smaller than the estimates proposed in previous works. Results obtained from the processing of macroseismic data have been tested and compared to recent geological data. Our preferred interpretation is that the 20 and 27 April 1894 earthquakes ruptured together the whole Atalanti fault. The internal structural complexity of the Atalanti fault appears to have controlled the rupture propagation: the change in strike of the fault trace along with its intersection with the Malesina fault, near Proskinas, is interpreted as a geometric barrier that is the boundary be- tween the two individual earthquake sources. -

The observed tectonic structures within the neotectonic basins and their mar gins (range-bounding faults and fault zones, rotation of tectonic blocL·) suggest a close relation to the Parnassos Detachment Fault (PDF), which is a reused alpine thrust surface. Lokris basin (LB) occupied a central position in this neotectonic con figuration, having received its first sediments in the Uppermost Miocene and subse quently been greatly affected by tectonic episodes, which continue until nowadays.
