Iranian deaf athletes have shined in the 7th Asia-Pacific Deaf Games, bagging 7 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals during the Games held in the Korean capital .

Iranian deaf athletes have shined in the 7 th Asia-Pacific Deaf Games, bagging 7 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals during the Games held in the Korean capital Seoul.

Mohammad Hadi Salehi put in a remarkable performance in deaf track and field, winning Iran 2 gold medals in long jump and high jump. He has also set new record for Iran's deaf high jump.

Hossein Sedaghat took to the track for Iran and bagged two gold medals in 1,500 meters and 10,000 meters.

Sajjad Piraygherchaman also claimed the first place in deaf discus throw, wining another gold medal for Iran. Moreover, he has broken the Asian deaf discus throw record.

Iran's deaf national judoka Mohammad Asiaie overpowered his opponents and won a gold medal in the 66 kg category.

Men's 4×400 relay team took Iran's gold medal tally to seven on Thursday. The Iranian athletes, including Hossein Sedaghat, Ibrahim Najafi, Mohammad Hadi Salehi and Moselm Shirzad ran the track much faster than other runners.

Mehran Sarafraz earned Iran a silver medal in 10,000 meters running event.

Juduka Ali Salahshour also won a silver medal in the 60 kg weight class.

Meanwhile, Habibalah Kia could secure a bronze medal in long jump. Iranian female athlete Soghra Rabiefard also won a bronze medal in 1,500 running event.

Juduka Ali Dehghan defeated his rival and won another bronze medal for Iran in 73 kg category.

Iranian female table team-- including Bahareh Azar Sina, Mojgan falah Bahmani and Boshra Habibi, also won a bronze medal.

Earlier this week, Iranian fighters bagged four medals. In Men class, Ahmadreza Borhani won silver and Mohammad Kazemzadeh claimed bronze medals. In women class, Fatemeh Montazeri obtained silver and Maryam Khodabandeh won bronze medal s.
