Benim bir hayalim vardı… Kendi ayaklarım üzerinde durduğum günden bu yana futbol oynamanın ve o sihirli topun peşinden koşmanın hayalini kurdum. Bir ayağım olmasa da futbol oynama hayalim hiç bitmedi. Başımı yastığa her koyduğumda futbolcu olacağımı biliyordum. Yeşil sahada goller atarak, tribünlerde binlerce kişiyi sevindirerek, Türkiye’nin adını Avrupa futbolunun en üstüne çıkarma hedefinden asla vazgeçmedim. Ampute milli futbolcu olarak bunu başardım, Dünya Kupası’nda oynadım, 2017 Avrupa Ampute Futbol Şampiyonluğu madalyasını boynuma taktım. Bu başarıları; ülkemin her kesimden insanı futbol oynamaya teşvik eden “Herkes İçin Futbol” programı ile gerçekleştirdim. The UEFA Nations League has got off to a thrilling start; the Executive Committee has decided to introduce video assistant referees (VAR) in the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League; and Germany has been selected to host the UEFA EURO 2024. UEFA is not in the business of making changes without good reason or by diktat. All these initiatives are the result of dialogue and consultation, and all have the same end goal: the continued success and further development of European football. UEFA, its member associations, and key stakeholders in the European Club Association and the European Leagues are working together for the good of the game. Football is a team game and UEFA is a team player. Consultation underpinned the creation of the UEFA Nations League, which kicked off in September. Turkey’s ecstatic celebrations after Emre Akbaba’s late double saw them come back from 2-0 down to win against Sweden; Kosovo’s joy at their first competitive match win, against the Faroe Islands; and Spain’s victories over England and Croatia after a disappointing World Cup showed how much this competition already means to players.
