It combines historic charm with contemporary style in a central part of Cape Town, nestling between Table Mountain and the city center and within easy walking distance of a variety of boutique stores, restaurants and bars. With 12 rooms and a presidential suite Cape Cadogan is well known for its comfortable, luxurious accommodation and atmosphere. Interiors are a combination of bohemian chic and simple elegance. All rooms are en-suite and features include air-conditioning, select satellite TV channels, DVD player, personal bar fridge (not included in room rate) and tea and coffee facilities. The narrow little streets are lined by original Cape buildings, many of which have been beautifully restored, some now housing museums and art galleries, as well as lively sidewalk cafés and highly acclaimed restaurants. Now known for its trendy and modern vibe, this region is often visited on foot, encompassing the historic parliament buildings, the Company Gardens and the lively café culture and boutiques of Kloof Street. DAY 2-3-4: CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA Day at Leisure DAY 5: FRANSCHHOEK COUNTRY HOUSE – FRANSCHHOEK, SOUTH AFRICA Accommodation in Villa Suite – Includes Breakfast Franschhoek Country House and Villas offers luxurious country accommodation on the outskirts of Franschhoek in the Western Cape. Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in the country, is the historic centre of the Winelands and is a bustling university town set in oak lined avenues, while Paarl has a beautiful setting beneath the imposing Helderberg mountains. These towns are surrounded by prestigious wine estates equally renowned for their award winning wines. Be sure to try the Pinotage, a uniquely South African cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault varieties. Stay a while in this area and explore the many wine estates, enjoy the rich Cape Dutch architecture, the interesting history and the sheer beauty of the region, all just a 60 minute drive from the city of Cape Town. DAY 6: FRANSCHHOEK, SOUTH AFRICA Day at Leisure DAY 7: XUGANA ISLAND LODGE – OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA Accommodation in Standard Room – Includes all meals refreshments, local spirits & wine, scheduled activities and laundry. Situated on a private concession in a unique part of the Okavango Delta, Xugana Island Lodge is set on the fringe of this magnificent island shaded by the canopy of ebony and African mangosteen trees. Taking full advantage of this site, the open-sided thatched lounge, bar, boma and dining areas, as well as the chalets, gaze out gloriously over the Xugana Lagoon’s expanse of pristine water. The swimming pool, located within the mature gardens in the centre of the island, is a perfect place to relax. We can accommodate just 16 guests in large raised reed and thatch chalets, with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks. • Xugana Island Lodge has recently been refurbished as well as all furnishings been replaced. As part of this complete redecoration, a new expansive deck has been fitted for even greater vistas of the lagoon. • Guests can either explore the delta by motorboat, mokoro, or take leisurely walks on surrounding islands in the concession allowing you to experience a classic Okavango Delta safari. • Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity. DAY 8: OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA Morning & Afternoon Activities Enjoy a full day of activities at Xugana Island Lodge DAY 9: CAMP MOREMI – OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA Accommodation in Standard Tent – Includes all meals, scheduled activities, laundry, refreshments and local spirits and wines. Peeking out from under a lush green woodland canopy of ancient ebony trees, Camp Moremi, in the Xakanaxa area of Moremi Game Reserve, is a truly hidden gem. Our camp is an elegant, elevated thatch and timber structure which accommodates just 22 guests in African-style safari tents, each individually sited on a raised teak platform with private adjacent facilities and viewing deck, most offering unsurpassed views of the Xakanaxa Lagoon. Our main building comprises a main sitting area, wildlife reference library, dining room and cocktail bar inviting a true sense of the African wilderness. Other facilities include a secluded swimming pool with sundeck and thatched boma where brunch and high tea are served. DAY 10-11: OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA Morning and Afternoon Activities Enjoy a full day of activities at Camp Moremi DAY 12: DEPARTURE You may leave Africa forever but Africa will never leave you..
