There are experts who believe that the pandemic may trigger more nationalistic sentiments among economies with countries now expected to be more focused on becoming self-sufficient to avoid or at least minimize the consequences of global supply chain disruption that they have experienced in the wake of the pandemic. While there are other experts who are of the opinion that a crisis of such great intensity could actually help in bringing countries together to develop globally coordinated strategies to combat such exigencies and promote global growth in the future.
