Between June 4-6 join these two comedians for 90 minutes of hilarious performances, perfect for date night or friendly enough for the whole family to enjoy. Headlining the show is Andy Forrester. Forrester has been creating laughter since 1999 when he joined a local improv comedy troupe in Raleigh, NC. In 2005, Forrester tested his skills at his first open mic at Goodnight’s Comedy Club where his career skyrocketed. Winning multiple awards, and even earning a TV spot on the PureFlix Comedy All-Stars program, Forrester has created a name for himself in the world of comedy. Rounding out the show is Lee Hardin. Hardin is a standup comedian based in Nashville, TN and travels the country performing at comedy clubs, colleges, and corporate events. Having appeared on CMT and Comedy Central, Hardin can present comedy that is appropriate for everyone to enjoy. His act ranges from the absurd to the random punchline you never saw coming. The years included in the research were from 1872 to 1920. There were several factors which governed the choice of these dates. First, in 1872 the city was incorporated, and in that year the first edition of the Wichita Eagle was printed. Second, after 1920 a great change began taking place in the-theatre. There were various reasons for this change.

Pro-Christian Humor and the Online Carnival Abstract Humor that takes as its comedic object the beliefs, practices, and culture of Christianity has flourished in the digital age via journalistic satire, video sharing, and social network websites. Theory of the comic's use as a moderator between the sacred and the profane provide by Conrad Hyers, and the carnivalesque literary theory of Mikhail Bakhtin, reminds us that humor made at the expense of elements of Christian doctrine and culture can serve to reify and strengthen Christianity in the United States, a conclusion justified by textual analysis of three websites featuring this material. The na alysis supports that an essential rule for successfully blending humor and religion together is to avoid directly leveling the humor at God or at Christianity as a valid religion but rather restricting the ludic treatment to church practices, church culture, and individual behavior. Comments made by readers reveal that a majority approve of the ludic turn, but vehement dissent shows a strong tension between the ludic and the presupposition that religion must remain sacrosanct and solemn.
