TOKU Premieres ‘Yamibou’ Anime TV Series on July 19th at 10 p.m. EST West Palm Beach, Fla. – July 11, 2016 – Olympusat, Inc., one of the largest independent media companies specializing in ownership, distribution, production and technical services, announces the premiere of the fantasy Yuri television anime series Yamibou this summer on TOKU, the only 24/7 television network dedicated to eye catching anime, popular live action titles and cult classics from Asia dubbed into English, also available On Demand Starting July 19th, this fascinating 13-episode TV series, based on the Japanese adult visual novel Yami to Boshi to Hon no Tabibito (Darkness, the Hat, and the Travelers of the Books), will air every Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST on TOKU’s HD Network, with English subtitles. The episodes will also be available on VOD in August. The story follows the magical voyages of Hatsuki, a gorgeous, tall, dark-haired brooding high- school girl who develops what she knows is an unsuitable kind of platonic love for her adopted older sister, Hatsumi. But on the stroke of midnight on Hatsumi’s 16th birthday, she is suddenly surrounded by a green light and vanishes in front of Hatsuki. Unexpectedly, the series’ heroine is deeply saddened by her beloved sister’s disappearance. Soon thereafter, she manages to follow Hatsumi helped by a being resembling a fat baby chick (literally), ending up in a place called “The Great Library”, a repository containing all of the worlds in the universe within books. The missing girl isn’t there, though, so the search for Hatsuki’s great love continues and involves traveling from book to book, across enchanted worlds and dimensions, along with the library’s guardian. Yamibou originally ran in Japan in the fall of 2003, but was just released in the U.S., and came from Studio Deen. The fantasy series was directed by Yuji Yamaguchi and written by Tomomi Mochizuki. TOKU is the abbreviated version of the word Tokusatsu, which is the Japanese-language term for “live action,” in which TOKU brings plenty of it to the legions of growing fans in the United States. Aside from live action, the network features the most sought after Asian anime titles and cult classics. TOKU is available on AT&T U-Verse, Comcast Xfinity and Optimum. About Olympusat, Inc.
