The Valley Patriot by John Massoud Subscribe Past Issues Translate The Valley Patriot Making the 6th District Great Again! View this email in your browser Dear Friends and Fellow Republicans A Republican Picks Up a Safe Democratic Seat Last week in Connecticut, GOP candidate Ryan Fazio won a special election in the 36th Senate District in Connecticut. The victory was by approximately 3%. The reason this is so important - Joe Biden won this same seat by 25% in 2020. Aka a 28 point turn around in less than a year. How did this occur? Fazio ran on a platform of economic growth and the fact that Democrats are extremists, and the Democrat ran on an anti gun platform. Given the current mood of the country, the outcome was foreseeable. This does not mean that the GOP should let off the gas for even a second. We will need maximum effort to have a sweep in November. But it does mean that Subscribe Past Issues Translate a victory can be done, with the right candidate and the right message. https://www.wtnh.com/news/connecticut/fairfield/votes-being-tallied-for-special- election-to-fill-state-senator-vacancy-in-36th-district/ Leftism is a Cult (Inspired by Dennis Prager) Ever since the early 90's, we have been talking about how the Democrats in the Legislature and Democrats on our School Board have been trying to separate our children from their parents. This first started when the Democrats passed a law in the early 1990's (maybe the late 80's) to allow for teens to have an abortion without parental consent or even parental notification. What we are seeing now is nothing more than an extension of what they passed above. Schools are no longer educational centers, but they are indoctrination centers. It is a betrayal of the parental trust for our schools to indoctrinate rather than teach. It is a show of cowardice of the school system to try and keep our parents away from what our kids are being taught. The school system knows they’re indoctrinating. Wanna know how we should know this? Simple - they're afraid to have parents hear what they're teaching. Personally I’d be thrilled if the left heard and actually understood what we’re saying. However the left does not want us to know what they’re teaching our kids. Which is the main reason they’re so insistent on trying to make sure that we don’t hear what they have to say. This is what cults do. Trying to sever the bond between child and parent is the first thing that any cult does. This was done at Waco by David Koresh. It was done by Jim Jones. It was done by Stalin and Komsomol. And it is now being done by leftists in our schools. This is being done not only by leftists, but also to blame are go along get along Republicans and supposed independents. As most of you are aware, I have done something that no previous District Chair has done before. I've been working with Unit Chairs and other activists up and down the 6th Congressional District to make sure we have conservative candidates running for School Board and for all local offices. Yes the State Board of Education sets alot of statewide policy, but these policies are implemented by localities. It is just as important that the localities be governed/led by small government conservative activists as Richmond and Washington DC. Please get involved in your local elections. Subscribe Past Issues Translate Maybe, it's been most heartening to see how hard our candidates have been working. Even though it's the dead of summer, people like Brandi Rutz, Pam Carter, Sabrina Von Schilling, Scott Guise, and Morgan McCown have been working. All of our Delegate candidates have been working their tails off. Everywhere I go, and everywhere anyone goes, they can see John Avoli, Chris Runion, Bill Wiley, Todd Gilbert, Mike Webert, Chris Head, Terry Austin, Ronnie Campbell, Wendell Walker, Rob Bell, and Tony Wilt have been working (my apologies if I missed anyone). Charlie Nave has been taking the fight to his lefitst opponent like it's going out of style. Same with everyone listed above, and so many others who I've not mentioned. And what are we seeing from the leftists? Well while Glenn Youngkin was in Page/Shenandoah/Rockingham Counties on Friday - Terry McAwful was in Martha's Vineyard. And his minions have not been doing much more. This is why we will take back Virginia come November. Ideas, momentum, and energy are on our side. Not to mention the best set of candidates we've ever run up and down the ticket. Yours Truly on Radio Free Virginia It's a long listen, but you'll get some special insights as to why we failed in Afghanistan, and how we must fix the GOP at the local. state. and federal levels. https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-jckbq-10be847? utm_campaign=a_share_ep&utm_medium=dlink&utm_source=a_share Last but not least For those of you who have been praying for me and my family - in case you did not hear, late last week my cousin Gina - who had been stuck inside Afghanistan and was likely on a short list of troublemakers kept by the Taliban, escaped to Qatar with her husband and adopted children. • March 19, 2021 Glenn Dubois Chancellor State Board for Community Colleges 300 Arboretum Place Richmond, VA 23236 Dear Dr. Duboi
March 19, 2021 Glenn DuBois Chancellor State Board for Community Colleges 300 Arboretum Place Richmond, VA 23236 Dear Dr. Dubois: It has come to our attention as members of the Virginia General Assembly that the Lord Fairfax Community College Advisory Board recently voted to change the name of Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC). We understand that the LFCC Advisory Board has recommended this action to the Virginia State Board for Community Colleges and we write to urge you not to act on this request. Instead, we ask that you recognize the overwhelming opposition from the communities served by LFCC who share a deep connection to the institution and loyalty to its identity. We share in the opposition to the decision and are saddened by the LFCC Advisory Board’s lack of consideration of community stakeholders’ input, for whom such a decision requires consultation. Further, the allocation of such significant financial resources for changes to the college name reflects poor stewardship at a time when resources should be spent to advance the needs of community college students. We hope that the board will act in the interest of students consistent with our constituents’ overwhelming desire to support the mission of LFCC and preserve the current institution as it is known in the region. Thank you very much for your consideration and we hope you will contact us if you have further questions. Sincerely, Senator Mark Obenshain Senator Jill Vogel Delegate Todd Gilbert Delegate Michael Webert House Minority Leader Delegate David LaRock Delegate Bill Wiley Delegate Mark Cole CC: President Kim Blosser .

  • 2020 VIRGINIA ELECTION REPORT November 4, 2020
2020 VIRGINIA ELECTION REPORT November 4, 2020 With the General Assembly under Democratic control and the strong desire to provide additional voting options and protection from COVID-19, this year’s election was the first to feature “no-excuse” absentee voting and early in-person voting in Virginia. While it is too early to tell what increase in voter turn-out can be attributed to these additional options, we expect final numbers to show record, or near-record, turnout. What we do know is that Virginia election officials reported 2.75 million of Virginia’s 5.9 million registered voters had already voted prior to election day. Before election day, voter turnout had already reached 69% of 2016 levels. This report was prepared with information available as of 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4th, with a few precincts in many of the races not yet reporting and many absentee and early votes not yet counted. The state has until November 16th, to certify all election results. Presidential Election Joe Biden / Kamala Harris (D) – 53.67% – Winner Donald Trump / Mike Pence (R) – 44.46% Joanne (Jo) Jorgeson (I) – 1.46% Virginia was expected to be a safe state for Biden and that clearly held true. Although all the votes have not been counted, Trump has performed very much in line with his 2016 election, capturing 44.43% of the vote. Biden has however, outperformed Clinton, who only captured 49.75% of the vote in 2016. U.S. Senate Mark Warner (D) – 55.65% (incumbent) – Winner Daniel Gade (R) – 44.26% Senator Warner wins a third term in a low-key Senate race that received little attention compared to other states.

  • General Assembly Survey Grades General Election – November 2, 2021
Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc. • P.O. Box 513, Newington, VA 22122 • 804-639-0600 General Assembly Survey Grades General Election – November 2, 2021 Last Updated on September 19, 2021 The names of candidates in bold signify incumbents running for reelection. If any of the candidates in your district have not responded to the survey, contact them and urge them to complete the VCDL survey and send it in. If they are afraid to take a public stand on these issues now, before the election, then they are unlikely to be very responsive to your views after the election. There is absolutely NO reason why they should not answer this survey! Failure to return a completed survey frequently indicates indifference, if not outright hostility, toward the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Don't know what District you are in? Click here to find out. Some things to keep in mind: 1. VCDL does not endorse candidates for public office. VCDL-PAC is a state level Political Action Committee (PAC) and does endorse candidates for state or local office. 2. No candidates were rated. To rate a candidate, one needs to factor in a lot of information, including, but not limited to the following: • how they answered the survey • their voting record (if any) • legal actions they've been involved in (if any) • their public statements (if any) • their private statements (if any) 3. The "grade" shown next to a candidate's name is HOW THEY ANSWERED THE SURVEY. Their survey response was graded and the grade (Very Pro- Gun, Pro-Gun, So-So, Anti-Gun, Very Anti-Gun) was displayed, as we have been doing for the last 10+ years.
