T ransformation…

Jonathan Zeichner, Executive Director Nathaly B. started attending A Place Called Home in the summer of 2007. Nathaly did not know English at that time and had recently arrived from Honduras with her mother and four siblings. Nathaly was a very shy girl and had a difficult time making friends. Nathaly was also struggling academically. Soon after Nathaly was enrolled at APCH, she started socializing with other members and in no time she learned Eng- lish. Nathaly is now in the 3rd grade and is doing well academically and socially. She has more confidence and self-esteem to take on the work of getting her education. Nataly is now motivating other students to stay focused academically and achieve their goals. Nathaly enjoys reading; her favorite book is “James and the Giant Peach.” Her favorite subject is Math and her favorite hobby is dancing. This spring she was awarded student of the month and received an award at her school. A Place Called Home is very proud of Nathaly’s great accomplishments.
