Teaching a trade to young adults with Learning Disabilities

Trainees will help staff the Visitor Experience “The Salvation Army’s plans to rebuild Strawberry Field into a training and work placement hub for young people with learning disabilities, develop a space for spiritual exploration, and to create a visitor experience for all to enjoy, will be the most fitting tribute to my brother. Something I am sure he would have fully supported with pride.”

Julia Baird, Honorary President Strawberry Field project “The plans to open Strawberry Field to the public for the first time - so people can see a unique exhibition about the home, how and why the song was written by John, and allow visitors to explore the grounds as John did as a child - is very exciting.”
