To the other end of the property is an inner hallway that leads to the master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two further good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom. Seller Insight Bought as a renovation project, this freshly modernised single- storey property offers deceptively ample living space within a quiet and convenient semi-rural location north east of Birmingham. Located on the outer fringes of the North Warwickshire village of Nether Whitacre, 10 Middle Lane is set back from the road with a rear south-facing garden backing onto open fields. Not over-looked by any neighbours, this is a delightfully private spot with lovely views. ‘We’ve taken the property from outdated to modern to create a large, light and airy home with versatile living space suitable for a family or someone wanting a quiet country life. The location is fantastic and offers all the convenience of an easy commute to nearby towns and cities for work, pleasure and life’s necessities,’ says owner Sabrina. Adjacent to the River Tame and Kingsbury Water Park, Nether Whitacre is a quiet village with a post office and two pubs; ‘although in the heart of the country you never feel isolated as there are good local shops, including farm shops, and restaurants nearby – all other conveniences are within easy reach. Nearby Shustoke has a primary school and there’s a good secondary school in Coleshill, just five-minutes away by car,’ explains Sabrina. The market town of Coleshill, which lies a short distance to the south is the property, has a good range of amenities, including a train station offering link services to many major cities. The M42, M5 and M6 can all be reached in a matter of minutes. “The house is very spacious with lots of light flooding in and the south-facing garden is a fantastic suntrap. The garden, which backs onto fields, has been landscaped, re-turfed and slabbed and is ready to be planted up to the new owner’s taste. The position and layout of both house and garden make it a very peaceful place to live.” “The large living room is a wonderful space with both bi-fold and French doors leading to the garden, making it a great indoor to outdoor living space. The huge kitchen with central island offers a wonderful space for all.” “The fully modernised property looks great inside and out and has huge curb appeal. Its generous size and wonderful sense of space has a habit of impressing visitors – it’s a very welcoming house which is wonderful for entertaining.”* * These comments are the personal views of the current owner and are included as an insight into life at the property. They have not been independently verified, should not be relied on without verification and do not necessarily reflect the views of the agent. Outside is a wide in and out gravelled driveway and access to the single garage and to the side of this there is access to the rear garden with a large lawned area, patio and tool shed, all offering complete privacy with open fields beyond. Warwickshire County Council Archaeological Resource Assessment of the Aggregates Producing Areas of Warwickshire and Solihull Final Report Draft Version 2.0 31/03/2008 By Magnus Alexander with Stuart Palmer and Laurence Chadd Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund English Heritage Project No 4681 Archaeological Resource Assessment of the Aggregates Producing Areas of Warwickshire Summary This document is an assessment of the archaeology associated with aggregate minerals in Warwickshire and Solihull. The project was undertaken by the archaeology section of Warwickshire Museum Field Services, based within the Adult, Health and Community Services Directorate of Warwickshire County Council. The project has characterised, digitally mapped and subsequently analysed the resource, in order to inform the development of both minerals development frameworks and archaeological research, and provide a sound dataset for management and decision-making. This project primarily matched the criteria in Objective 2 of the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF; strategic mitigation of future extraction): the analysis of existing data and wider dissemination matched Objective 3 (mitigation of past extraction). This project has used a number of data sources, primarily: relevant geological information, in particular that which is available in digital form from the BGS; relevant archaeological data, contained in the Warwickshire and Solihull HERs; aerial photographic information including additional mapping as part of English Heritage’s National Mapping Programme. The project has resulted in: a corpus of baseline data to inform future strategies; enhancement of the Warwickshire and Solihull HERs; increased awareness of archaeological issues in relation to aggregates extraction; dissemination via this project report, a non-technical leaflet and through the Warwickshire County Council web site.
